Update: Elevator out of order. With the Mississippi River at its lowest level in decades, the park's wharf could be accessed on foot from below. This allowed vandals to remove copper wiring for the elevator, Mandeville Shed, Ellipse, and lighting of the park. Generators power the lights for now but the elevator is out of service. Flashlights after sunset (around 5 pm in winter) would help in a few spots. Park closes at 7:30.

One of the two elevators has consistently been broken the entire two years I’ve been visiting Crescent Park. It’s not even the same elevator that’s broken, they seem to take turns, as soon as one is fixed the other is out of service.
