I have been looking for a place like this for years. It is a one stop for all--manicures, massages, facials, eyelash extensions--anything beauty/spa related, you can find it here. The convenience is great, but the prices are even better. They always have package deals and even unlimited yearly memberships. They have a first time special price for each service so you can see if you like it before committing to a package deal. They are opened every day and have long hours so you can go after work. Try to make appointment because they can get really busy. I have only done my lash extensions, facials and massages so far. All the lash techs are super nice and talented. You can get any style for a really good price (~$80 without package/membership). They also let you come back and get a free refill each time within 10 days after you get a new set for any lashes that was not set properly. Nu La gives the best back massage you will ever get in your life. I have been to many massage places around Flushing and even across states, and Nu La is by far the best. She really focuses on each part of the body and she knows exactly where and how to get all the knots out. They also include a shoulder and head massage with the facials. This is probably the main reason I switched my facial lady I had been going to for the past year to IDO. It doesn't feel like they're just patting stuff onto your face and calling it a day. They really take the time to get all the gunk out, which can be a little painful but definitely worth it. I would recommend Mary for the facials. Also, the one thing they usually don't do is pressure you to give a certain amount of tip except the male boss. The male boss always trying to make a little extra here and there, which is the only part I find annoying. It makes things really awkward when people ask for extra tip.. Other than that, I appreciate the meticulous and superb service and the hard to...
Read moreI gave this place a try since their poster listed $20 for a gel manicure trial. When I entered the basement, there were two teenagers playing and throwing stuff around in a very tight space. The lady who was doing my nails was inexperienced. She kept leaving out the side of my nails when applying base coat, so I mentioned it to her. When applying nail polish, the same issue happened; on top of that, their nail polish was very running and uneven( I did white color). She then spoke their Fujianese dialect (which I happened to know) to her male boss. “This customer is very annoying; she needs me to paint the edges. The male boss was like, It’s only $20 bucks if she don't like it just get out”. They continued with more disrespectful complaints. I just remained silent and pretended I didn’t understand what they were saying. At that point, I was like I am never coming back again and was going to remove my nail polish at home. Luckily, a younger nail stylist came in and took over. She removed the cotton tread from my nail and repainted it over with the edges all covered. She was very nice and complimented my hands and eyes. I ended up tipping $8 just for her. I am never coming back to this place again. If you are seeking a cheap gel manicure, go for it, but make sure to ask for a younger stylist with...
