It’s not often that I experience such positive results in the retail arena. Making a significant and expensive purchase deserves the best service from a salesperson. This is exactly what I received from Aydan at ABC Carpet & Home Outlet. The sofa that I was considering purchasing was quite large (93” long). Aydan recommended that a specific engineer/delivery company measure the entry points to assure the sofa would fit. She immediately sent the engineers to the apartment and they determined it would be able to move into the apartment successfully. Therefore, I safely made the purchase of the sofa. Weeks later, a different delivery company was scheduled to deliver the sofa. When they arrived, they claimed the sofa would not fit up the stairs or through the apartment door and took the sofa away! I called Aydan and she came to the rescue. She immediately arranged for the original delivery company to retrieve the returned sofa from the warehouse and make the delivery. They delivered the sofa without any problems! Aydan’s involvement was critical for this to occur. Her professionalism, dedication, persistence, and concern for her customer’s satisfaction is a breath of fresh air. Aydan makes things happen, she is very eager to please, and she communicates at every step during the process of making a purchase. One can feel confident when Aydan is involved. Our experience with this store, staff, and delivery service was absolutely incredible. The quality of the merchandise speaks for itself, but the above and beyond quality of the SERVICE is what I need to share. We bought a beautiful couch and chair from their amazing sales associate Aydan Sahin. She was incredibly patient while we decided (also our puppy fell in love with her during the experience) and made sure we would have delivery that very same night. Her delivery staff showed up, but despite MANY patient tries the couch simply didn’t fit into our home! Boy did Mousa try! Not only did they try once, they came back with the amazing Aydan and her associate (and engineer) Carlos the very next day to measure in THREE places to see if it could work. WHAT sales associate comes to your HOME to make sure the couch on final warehouse sale fits in your home??? AYDAN did!!! They informed us that the downstairs window would work, if we took off the metal bars, and promised they would be there as soon as we told them it was done. Well, we got it done, and so did they! Mousa and Carlos came the very next day, informed us that they even cleaned the couch for us before that, and set it up perfectly. DO NOT SHOP HERE. CONSIDER THIS A PSA. ABC WAS PURCHASED LAST FALL BY A NEW OWNER. WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD, EVER. I came to the store in Industry City today after not being able to get anyone on the phone for weeks. I've been an ABC customer for 30 years. I explained to the sales person that a large carpet I'd purchased this past summer was staining too easily - even a teaspoon of water causes a permanent stain in my overdyed carpet. The salesperson claimed "the story is not ABC anymore". Ok - I didn't realize. But hey, it looks like ABC, says ABC, etc. The salesperson called a manager who came out, obviously angry at being disturbed. "Maam, we are not ABC, we can't do anything to help you. We bought the company out of bankruptcy." I asked "Can you at least advise me on what to do about these stains?". He said '"We would have no idea" (!!) and when I said incredulously "you mean no one in this store would know anything about my issue," he said "it doesn't take a PhD to work in a carpet store." Clearly, the ABC so many of us knew and loved for so many years, is no more and in its stead are new, nasty owners who care nothing about customers and will surely ruin the legacy of...
