The postpartum period, especially the immediate first two weeks is so raw that it's nice to have something to look forward to - in our case, it was our photoshoot with Shirly. She was amazing to work with from the way she has set up the process to her communication and artistry. We are so glad we chose her to capture our first-born's entry into the world.

Despite being hesitant about our first journey out with him (not counting the doctor's visit), going to her studio was the right call since she has everything there that you'll want for your kiddo to look smashing. She also has a sitting area and a Boppy pillow for nursing, plus she keeps the studio super warm so your baby is comfortable even in the dead of February.

We were originally drawn to Shirly's work because of the classic, soothing tones and lovely poses. Shirly is so patient - she worked with us for three hours to capture a gallery of pictures that were difficult to choose from. We opted for the middle package and was super glad we did so we could also have some tangible output from the shoot and our first photos as a family of three.

Having a kiddo is an investment all around and yes, in our day and age it's possible to do your own photos or have family take it for you. But for the stylish shoot that captures the sweetness of your baby while they're still fresh, there's nothing like a professional photographer to document those moments and Shirly is your woman. We can't wait to do our 1-year cake smash...

I can't recommend Shirly enough. The newborn phase is such a precious stage that passes by all too quickly, and my husband and I are so grateful to Shirly for capturing such beautiful images of our daughter and family. She even managed to make two sleep deprived parents look good! Shirly is very professional, timely, and warm and engaging. Her studio is beautiful and filled with props, outfits, and a comfortable seating area where we hung out while she worked her magic. I was amazed by Shirly's patience as she posed our newborn in several settings, and encouraged our toddler to pose for sibling shots. Shirly is so talented and just knows how to create beautiful poses and angles. Her work speaks for itself. We love every single photo and are are already planning a follow-up shoot to capture more pics of our little one once she is sitting up.

Update: We just received pictures from the "Sitter" session. Our little girl is 9 months old now, and Shirly captured the most beautiful photos of our daughter. We showed up to Shirly's studio, and she had already thoughtfully selected outfits and arranged the set-ups. My favorite set-up involved the same props / accessories from our newborn shoot - which perfectly captured how much our baby has grown. I am so grateful for these beautiful images which our family will always treasure. We have already booked the one-year cake...

Our experience with Shirly Schvartzman was just out of this world! We knew we would book her right away as soon as we learned that we were going to be expecting a baby girl. We were certain that the photos would turn out amazingly because we had already seen her work (huge fans of Shirly!). However, we had no idea that the actual experience during the shoot was going to be that fantastic. Three things that absolutely set her aside from any other children/family photographer I know: You basically hand her your naked newborn with diapers on and she will do the rest. You do not have to buy/bring any outfits at all! She will bring absolutely everything! Every little item of clothes and accessory. and believe me, she has the most gorgeous things! She's extremely detailed, patient, does not rush! She really wants to make sure to deliver the BEST, and she really does! She's so sweet to the babies and makes sure that they're happy at all times. She's a person you can trust 100% with your baby. This, above all, is what's most important after all. :)))) Thank you so much for giving us the most beautiful physical memories.
