I’m a bit disappointed about my stay at hotel Bpm. Unfortunately, last Friday i was celebrating my 30th birthday and my boyfriend and I wanted to get a hotel so we wouldn’t have to commute all the way back home after my dinner and party. I’ll have to say that staying here was a huge mistake. First issue, the rooms were a bit lack luster. Getting off the elevator there was definitely an “old apartment building” turned hotel vibe. No vending machine no ice bucket (but the room had plastic cups individually wrapped.) kinda weird. Secondly i wasn’t expecting a hotel room with hard wood floors. Not the kind that is fresh and polished with a nice rug under the bed but these floors were dry and creaked likes you were walking up steps. Did I say that it was also kinda dirty? I posted two pictures of the walls. (One is a wall by the bed with a bunch of scratches and another is a wall where the sitting table was. There was a rolling chair at the sitting table which I moved to so my make up and you clearly see visible stains. I would think that a fresh coat of paint wouldn’t be to hard or expensive. WiFi was decent but we used their to mostly. There’s a cool feature that allowed us to log into Netflix to was movies. unfortunately, it was a struggle just watching a movie because it took forever for the movies and when it did, you’d watch about 30 seconds before it has to load again. Next issue, there were water marks and hairs in the shower before we ever got to use it(picture shown). The outlet in the restroom didn’t work so I had to blow dry my hair in the bedroom and the icing on the cake was the toilet leaked every time we flushed it. We were very disappointed and we tried calling down to the front desk about the issues. Not a surprise, the phone didn’t work. (We later moved the table and realized that it was disconnected from the wall.) This hotel said there was 24hour guest service but every time we went downstairs (because obviously calling didn’t work) no one was present. We decided to grin and bear it because it was too late to rearrange my schedule before my dinner. When we got back to the hotel later that night, there was a gentleman sitting with his feet on the couch by the entrance with a laptop and flip flops. when we entered he seemed startled and greeted us. A few hours before when we were leaving there was a different gentleman sitting on the couch. I’m guessing this is their so called 24 customer service. Unfortunately we already spent the money and it was nonrefundable and most hotels were already booked for a Friday night so we were SOL. But if I can help anyone else who’s looking for a hotel in Brooklyn to avoid having to use hotel BPM, then I did some good.

There was no one at the front desk at night and it was dark in the loby. The "kingsized suite" was just a king bed in a regular sized room. Just enough space to walk around the bed and desk. The bed was very squeeky! No bueno The bathroom set up was minimal. This hotel does not offer body gel or lotion. My shampoo and conditioner probally should have been refilled before I checked in. I enjoyed the blue light around the mirror. The bathroom air unit was noisey and sounded like it was gona fall from the ceiling. The bathroom has two areas were you can see someones silloute as they are bathing or are on the toilet. The silloute may be nice if you are on an adults night out. But maybe depending on who you are with it may be awkward. The sink was also clogged water took over an hour to go down so I had to brush my teeth wile I bathed. I did enjoy the rain shower head! My pillows were very FLAT pancake Flat. Before I even got in the kingsized bed wich means there shud probally be more than 2 pillows. Very disapointing. I had neck pain when I woke up. If your room is in the front your view will be another hotel that is currently being built. So there is some noise coming from that on top of the ac unit in the room thats LOUD. The floor in the room was dirty had specks of paper and fabric items that cud have been sweept up easily. For the price It was fine for one night but it definetly left alot to be desired. This hotel needs some maintanence and some more ❤ from the owners. Or it will fall apart soon.

Rooms are not like the photos as far as modernity and newness. Needs simple renovations (fresh paint, new carpet, cabinet doors resurfaced, etc). It'll do for a single night, but would not stay an entire trip here. UPDATE: stayed again a week later on the back end on a trip (layover), and one night was one night too many to sleep here. Attaching photos of the very dirty room I was first assigned. I requested a move because the room had never been cleaned from the last occupants (urine residue on the toilet seats, disheveled towels, oil/sweat stains on the night stand). The second room was "cleaner" (seemingly without dna from prior guests), but in no better condition as far as scratched and dented furniture, cracked mirrors, marks (identifiable and unidentifiable) on the walls. Even the fresh linen card had dirt/residue...which seemed to indicate the linens would actually not be fresh at all. I slept uneasily and fully clothed after turning down the sheets and thoroughly inspecting for stray spots or hairs😖. I did not shower or sit on the toilet seat. The front desk employees were pleasant and polite, albeit a little unpolished as far as professionalism. They seemed to be high school seniors, just old enough to be left alone at a hotel desk overnight, but not old enough to run the place effectively. All in all, don't stay here. Spend the extra $100 for a clean room and a good night's sleep.

The hotel is dirty, had stuff missing from my room, and building is trembling!

First impression: In the pictures I thought that the hotel actually looked really nice for the price; however, once inside my room after waiting for the elevator forever (literally, you would have to wait for the elevator for about 5-10 min each time, which would prompt me to just head for the staircase in the end), I couldn't help but to notice how worn down the rooms were. The walls were dirty and damaged, could definitely use paint, furniture was damaged, there were red stains on the wall and bed, in the bed I found hairs from another person and during my stay, the bed would be made, but they wouldn't actually put a sheet/cover on the blankets, blanket was very dirty and when I asked them to put a sheet on it, the cleaning lady just tossed me a sheet for me to put it on myself. Also, although the cleaning service was in the room each day, they wouldn't take out the filled garbage-can, which was weird.

Another thing that made me uncomfortable, is that I was staying on the 5th floor and literally every 5 min. I would feel the building trebling, everything would be shaking. I actually panicked and thought it was a smaller earthquake, but then noticed that it had to be the building because it happened all the time, I would even wake up fro my sleep and feel the shaking. Despite all this, I had kept patient and quiet and just tried to enjoy my stay. BUT THEN, on my last day when I started packing up, I noticed some of my new clothes with tags on was missing! I reported this right away to reception and was actually really nice about it, because I thought to myself that it might have been that the cleaning lady simply did not see that the shopping bags still had clothes in it and maybe she had tossed the bags out by accident thinking they were empty...Well the manager was of course not there, so the receptionist promised that the manager would call me the following they... I have now returned to Denmark without some of my new things and 3 days later, I had still not gotten any calls or e-mails from them. I had to take it upon myself to call them various times, and I was told my another receptionist that my missing stuff is my own property; thus, it is not their responsibility or problem (less they washed their hands like that).. also I was told, that they had checked the surveillance and there were no cleaning lady coming out with my shopping bags on the surveillance and therefore they could conclude that it was definitely not one of their cleaning ladies which had taken my bags! ... Now, I'm trying to make logic of what they are saying, but non of it makes sense! If I came in with the bags, never took them out again of my room, then who did because they were clearly no longer there! Second of all, if someone purposely took my bags, then obviously they won't go wavering around the bag for the camera! I just found the whole crew to be incompetent and disrespectful: NO CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER AT ALL! The last straw was when I approached the receptionist to prolong my stay for a few hours as my plane did not leave until midnight. I told her that I would be leaving at 9 pm vs the original check out time 12pm. She asked me $50 for the overstay, which is completely reasonable and she charged it right away on my credit card ... In the meantime I left the hotel to run some last errands, came back to my room at the hotel at 6pm and immediately I get a call from the reception (this was another receptionist) who told me that it was 6pm and therefore I had to immediately check out or else I would be charged further for the whole night!!! I had to argue with him, and at this point my calm person was completely out of character because this could simply just not be true as I had made an agreement a few hours earlier and was charged the extra $50 for the stay to 9pm!

In conclusion: this hotel is a mess, unprofessional, and the crew is by far unfit to...

Location: This hotel is a convenient walk from the R,N, and D subway lines. There is an express train at 36th street that can get you to Manhattan within 30 minutes. However, there is not much in the way of food near the hotel. There is a Subway (sandwich shop) on a nearby corner and really cheap Chinese take-out nearby that is delicious, but that's about it.

Service: This was really the biggest problem. The staff were generally friendly, but the cleaning and maintenance was very poorly managed. There were some major hiccups during our 5-day/6-night stay, mostly revolving around room service. This is a list of problems we had regarding room service:

(1) When we arrived to the hotel for check-in at 4pm (exactly when we said we would on our reservation), our room was not finished being cleaned for another half hour.

(2) One day during our stay, it appeared there was absolutely NO room service whatsoever. On other days, the room service that did come appeared to do MINIMAL cleaning (I cannot emphasize this enough).

(3) Even when putting the card on the bed requesting fresh linens, this request was not consistently fulfilled.

(4) There are glasses in your room when you get there. I used one of the glasses on the first night and it was not washed or replaced for our ENTIRE STAY.

(5) Although there are TWO toilet paper roll dispensers, the room was so incompletely/irregularly serviced that we actually ran out of toilet paper, and I had to go down to the front desk to get it. Any other hotel would have replaced the first toilet paper roll to run out, so that there was always toilet paper. They also did not replace the empty box of tissues in our room.

(6) On THREE days (of five days), there were no fresh towels in our room when we returned at the end of the day. The first time this happened, we requested more towels (about 11pm), they said they would bring some up. Half an hour later - still no towels. We called again and they informed us that their linen cleaning service had not brought them by the hotel yet. Instead of telling us this when we first called, we just waited around expecting them at any minute. The other two days, it seemed like they just didn't remember put towels in our room.

(7) When requesting room items that were not provided from housekeeping, service was unpredictable and slow enough that we found it best to go to the front desk and insist we were handed whatever needed item and bring it up to the room ourselves - otherwise we may be waiting for it for 30-60 minutes.

Cleanliness: Considering the quality of room service - cleanliness is questionable. The room, floor, and bed FELT clean, but considering their cleaning service missed OBVIOUS room service tasks, I can't help but believe they cut corners elsewhere.

Also, although we had one of the nicest rooms, our shower leaked a SIGNIFICANT amount of water on the bathroom floor. We had to use a couple towels to clean this up every time we took a shower. The glass door is about a quarter-inch of space above the floor where water gets through and leaves a large puddle. I don't know if other rooms had this problem.

Food: Breakfast was pretty good, but carb-heavy. Coffee, tea, juice, water, bagels, croissants, waffle maker. There was a fruit salad bowl and yogurt, but not a lot of other fiber or protein sources. Pleasant little dining/bar area. There are little water bottles at the bar for free and a few sodas/beer. There is also a Keurig in the room with Dunkin' Donut coffee inserts (a big strong for my taste). There is a mini-fridge in the room, but no microwave in the rooms.

Price: Overall, for what you get the price is reasonable. It's less expensive than other places in Manhattan, but is still conveniently located. The breakfast and amenities in the room make it a good place to stay if you want something between and a nice hotel and a budget motel. A modest price for a...
