Blatt Billiards — Local services in New York

My husband and I recently bought a new-build home and in the hopes of making this house our dream home, we discussed the possibility of having a pool table. Not having a dedicated game room, we decided to pursue the option of a dining conversion table. We saw the most beautiful table by Blatt’s Billiards. We tried to shop locally in Washington State, but were so taken by the CB Div Dine and Play, we had to see it in person. We reached out to the company in NY and Brian Roeder immediately established contact. Multiple emails, drawings, and even a visit to their showroom all culminated in our receiving the most beautiful piece of furniture we could ever hope to own. Oh yeah, and it’s a pool table, a gorgeous pool table!! Right in the middle of the great room in our beautiful new home! Brian and his family were very accommodative of our wish to store both a billiard set and a snooker set in the bench and came up with an ideal custom solution. The craftsmanship of the table top, pool table, chairs, and bench is superb. This table will be the pride of our home...

Something has to be said about the quality and customer service at Blatt. I'm an architect and I worked on a condo project in NYC where the client wanted custom pool tables in their amenity space, and it seemed like Blatt Billiards was the place to go to get it done. From the beginning stages of custom design, to hand-selecting the wood veneer patterns, colors and orientation...the process was smooth, thorough, and incredibly professional. I personally appreciate a good pool table so this was such a treat for me to work with and meet the entire line of (family-run) folks working to make this happen. From Steve and Brian at the showroom to Bruce with whom I had the pleasure to work with at the fabrication factory. Everyone was incredibly quick to get things moving and more than kind and generous throughout the entire process. I've never worked with such a great group of individuals who value quality in the craft of building, while offering stellar customer service. Can't share a higher recommendation to do business with these guys and I look forward to our next...

After my third visit there, I have to write a review. Initial time was to try to get them to rewrap my rotten, smelly Irish linen on a VERY old McDermott. They sent it back to the manufacturer and the work was done quickly and FREE under their lifetime warranty. Wow. I had to buy a few random things (chalk board, pool glove, etc). I also had ruined my cue tip by trying to correct a minor issue myself. The owner (I believe) fixed it up for me quickly and didn’t charge my for that. Of course I paid for the other stuff. Still, a great exp there. Last visit I was interested in buying a new shaft for my cue. I think I spent 2+ hours chewing off the ear of the employee with countless questions. He could not have been more patient and helpful. I believe I got the appropriate shaft and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
