I have always suffered from cystic Acne and my skin definitely wasn’t great with all the trauma and the scarring from over the years. Some scars actually looked like holes in my face. I was introduced to Dr. Angela lamb about six years ago. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and you can tell she cares very much, unlike many Doctors you come across. With her plan she changed my life! between her clearly up my acne first and then laser treatments among other techniques she was able to drastically minimize my scaring and even out my skin. Dr. Lamb has not only helped superficially but also with my inner confidence. For those of us who suffer from acne it’s really not easy. We tend to shy away from people and new experiences because we don’t want to be judged on our appearance because we believe that’s all people see when they look at us and it can be very discouraging.

Dr. Lamb is such a stand-out doctor that I hardly know where to begin to applaud her welcoming and caring personality. In addition to being an excellent dermatologist, who I recommend to everyone that is looking for one, she goes over and above any doctor I've ever had. She is incredibly helpful and patient, taking time to make sure that I understand her diagnoses and options available, never pressuring me into any procedures that are elective (unlike so many dermatologists who try as hard as they can to get patients to have expensive treatments) and so happy to help on personal levels as well. She has taken the time to help me negotiate a skin condition that my son had while overseas. I saw Dr. Lamb on Oct. 13. I'd seen her about 3 times prior to this date and I found myself really liking her - her intelligence, her warmth, her professionalism, her caring. I wasn't even scheduled for an appointment on my Oct. 13 walk-in but one of the urgent care doctors looked at the thing on my leg and brought Dr. Lamb in to see me. She immediately said the lesion needed a biopsy to confirm her suspicions - a small skin cancer. Within 2 days she had the results and also she sent my chart over to Dr. Hooman Khorasani, an eminent skin surgeon, for an appointment. On Nov. 7 I had the lesion removed, the wound dressed, was given instructions for wound care and a follow-up appointment with the surgeon. All of this took place within the Mount Sinai Health System.
