The security guard here yelled at me for not saying thank you to someone who held the door open for me.The ironic thing is that I did say thank you, he just didn't hear it. When I told him this, he responded that he can just "read people faces" and can "tell when someone is disrespectful." So I hope this message reaches him and the store management here: you have no idea what people are going through. Just because someone's face is not 100% pleasant does not mean they are inherently disrespectful. Their face could be wearing a number of emotions unrelated to the present situation: stress, sadness, grief, exhaustion. I walked in wearing a hoodie and biker shorts, stood where I thought the line was, and just kept getting cut by people. There was no sign showing where the line actually started, and people were scattered everywhere. The employees saw me waiting, made eye contact, but didn’t say anything until people had already gone ahead of me. Then one finally spoke up, with an attitude, instead of just helping earlier. At that point, I didn’t even want to buy anything and left—the whole vibe was just...
