This is my new favorite coffee shop stop spot in SoHo. Friendly staff, very warm & welcoming. Nice amount of seating & refreshments that do not disappoint.
I had a large & delicious 3 shot latte with regular milk & it really was perfection. I also tried the cheese danish & was pleasantly surprised. The pastry was lightly sweet with the perfect amount of pastry cheese cream & the bread had a croissant flakiness on the outside with a slight chew moistness towards the inside. Very well balanced & the perfect accompaniment to the milky latte. It did not disappoint. Everything was on point. Give yourself a treat & visit this place.
Only slightly irritating thing was when I sat in the back & I couldn’t get a strong signal on my phone. There is free WiFi but you have to ask for the barista to give you the login information. They print it for you on a small piece of paper that gives you 1 hour, after that you pay $6 an hour. I completely understand, it’s to keep people from camping out, frees up seats, etc. But, why not post the WiFi information? It could still then automatically closeout after an hour, and it will keep people from finding out after the fact that they need to go request the WiFi information. I had to leave my food at the table, go to the front to request WiFi information & rush back to stop the table cleaner, who was literally walking away with my coffee, “Stop please! I’m not finished!”🤣

Read moreMet someone at Drip Drop Cafe for a business kinda meeting. Someone DMd me on Instagram saying they liked my food videos, and suggested we meet here to talk big, big business.
I have under 3,000 followers on IG at the moment, so I was pretty surprised why they would reach out but they said they loved my stuff so that gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I'm a huge believer that external validation is dangerous and happiness should come from within, but it does feel good sometimes I'm ngl.
I got here early cuz my middle school basketball coach always used to say "if you're on time you're late." RIP Coach Carr. I got a hot americano which only ran $3.75. That's like the cheapest coffee I've seen in Lower Manhattan lol.
I got the coffee and went to sit outside as the indoor seating was all spoken for. The girl got there on time and we had a nice little chat about life, business, and food. She's a hustler. It turned out not to be a fit as they kind of wanted something for nothing, but that's the game. Take the meetings, do the work, and turn every rock. Everything you want lies on the other side of fear. At least that's what a book I read a while ago said.

Read moreThe two iced americanos I got were okay, and the person who took my order was very nice. But the next 15 min were really my most uncomfortable in a local cafe in the city (from among a few thousand coffee experiences).
I made the mistake of opening my macbook to jot a note before I forget. A few minutes in a lady comes and points to their policy about no-laptops and tells me no laptops on weekends after 11 so I obliged and put it away in my bag. I pulled out my pen and 4 inch paper and continued to jot my formulas. The person shows up again and looks at me, walks down the narrow isle, and leaves. A few minutes later, another guy stares me down. So I go and add another order as a gesture of good will, a danish, with 20% tip. The guy still stares at me. So uncomfortable. You want to protect your “local business”, I get it, but don’t lose sight of the big picture, a happy “local customer” bought three items, paid over 20 dollars not including tip for 20 minutes and felt like he was in a TSA line. And there were many available spots for other customers.
