Apple Nail Spa — Local services in New York

This place caught my eye because it is a block away from my apt. My second time here on the 10th of May. To celebrate mothers day, I got a pedicure, dip powder for my nails and eyebrows spent over $100 and $20 tip. my dip powder manicure literally lasted for a day. The second day my thumbnail was peeling off then I noticed all of my nails were coming off. so I go in today May 13, 2019, to ask to get them to fix. they sit me down and a technician comes over asks me what she may help me with I tell her, she then turns starts speaking in a foreign language (I hate this part because it's dehumanizing, to ignore and just talk about a costumer and not even let the customer know what Is going on. ITS RUDE to say the least) to the lady in the front desk, comes back with super glue. Being that I do dip powder on my nails MYSELF I ask her what she's about to do and she tells me she is simply going to add regular glue and squeeze my nails. I was not ok with that because it will not last any longer, and it will not look good. she tells me is the same thing as priming and adding base 2, when in reality it is NOT the same. it's just a cheap way to get the costumer out. so I simply walked out and promised to never return. it is despicable that they charge $$$ so much for services and then when a technician does a bad job they do not fix it properly. for instance, soaking my nails and redoing the job would have been the right thing to do, because adding super glue is a cheap way to fix it. my first time there was not pleasant at all either, but my nails lasted longer than a day. I should have followed my gut then. I'll stick to doing them myself...

Remarkably poor skill level at this place. Its just bad. The technique was poor, the final outcome looked awful, they charge expensive prices for horrible quality and unskilled nail techs. Its actually amazing how bad it is. I'm not a nail tech but have done better jobs with polish on my own nails. Listen to the bad reviews of this place. They're not wrong. I wish I did. My nails looked like I let my toddler paint them; I wish I were exaggerating. I'm not. Uneven and holes in the paint. Uncured gel so left soft spots also. Didnt take the polish up to the cuticles (or even remotely close to it). I left and it looked like I needed a fill in already. The nail tech cut my fingers (multiple) until I bled with the file and also with the cuticle cutter tool. She had to stop at least once to put a cotton pad on it to prevent the blood from mixing with the nail. 1 star is too much. Please believe these bad reviews. I cannot see how the good reviews are even possible unless they're making fake accounts and writing their own. This place is so bad. My literal blood is on their nail tools now and my nails look terrible. I should've just left them natural. I dont see how they're in business. Please look elsewhere. I went straight to another place like a badly botched haircut to fix them. It was embarrassing. Literally, no exaggeration, like I let my toddler give painting nails a go. I hope I dont get an infection too. I gave the tech $5 tip on top of the alarming price point for such low quality service (because I'm not a horrible person) and she looked at me and said, "that's it?" I should have...

do not go to this place. i went there a week ago to get gel manicure and within five days five of them fell off. i called the place and told them what happened and they told me if i come back within a week, they will fix it for me. i told them i am not in the city at the moment and they told me to come in any time i am back in the city so they can fix my nails. so as soon as i got back to the city i went back and showed my receipt and told them i had called the place earlier but no one wanted to listen to what i was saying and kept saying it’s been more than a week. they made it look like it was my fault for having them fall off but i have never in my life had gel manicure fall off in less than a week. they refused to fix one of my broken nails even though i repetitively told them that it was broken and needs to be fixed. they switched the lady halfway through and she was very aggressive and told me everything is done when the top coat was very uneven and when i asked her to put another layer of top coat she did it very aggressively. still sticky and have dusts stuck in them. they look worse than before honestly lol. oh and she hit my shoulder as she was leaving and didnt even say sorry and j told me to leave? im sorry but it’s not my fault u guys did a bad job in the beginning to make everything fall off lol. my nails look streaky and uneven so unless u want to embarrass urself with horrendous looking nails dont go to this place. it wasnt...
