My wife and I thought finding an officiant would be one of the simpler aspects of planning our wedding, but when we sat down and started looking for one, we quickly realized just how much more there was to consider than we realized. From the order of events, to the rituals and ceremonies, to the degree of religiosity, there were so many angles to consider and, more than that, questions we didn’t even know that we should be asking. Enter Honeybreak officiants, and specifically Celine, who was our patient, kind, knowledgable, flexible guide through all of these points and so much more. Celine truly gave us the ceremony we had been dreaming of, and we knew within moments of sitting down to speak with her for the first time that she was the officiant for us. One thing we learned while searching for our officiant was that they oftentimes come prepared with a vision of how the ceremony will go. When we listened to them describe their services, we could feel almost immediately that it was not the right fit for us— either too starched, too religious, or conversely lacking in any traditional elements. Not so with Celine. We gave her a few scant ideas and images of what we wanted for our ceremony, more a vibe than anything else, and she gave us back a fully formatted and beautifully moving ceremony, featuring all of the events and moments we asked for and none that we didn’t. In short, she got us. She knew exactly what we were looking for after talking to us for maybe half an hour. More than that, she continued to work with us to refine our plan, being flexible with wording and offering advice whenever needed, but always making sure our special day was just that: special and uniquely ours. I really can’t say enough about the great work Celine did, but if our testimony is not enough, we had friends and family members coming up to us all throughout the reception telling us how wonderful and moving they found the ceremony to be. We feel so lucky and filled with gratitude that Mirelle was our wedding officiant. Working with Mirelle at Honey Break Officiants was such a beautiful process from beginning to end- she truly did such a WONDERFUL job, and the whole experience was seamless, thoughtful, warm, joyful, and she created such a personal ceremony that touched our hearts. From the very beginning, she was filled with so much warmth, love, and excitement about our ceremony, and Mirelle ended up being such an enormous part of our special day. She immediately sent us a beautifully done pamphlet that she had created, with such clear directions that also allowed for such a personal outline to our ceremony. We were blown away by her professionalism and her take on being an officiant—the pamphlet in and of itself is such an inclusive, celebratory collection of ceremony components! She is a truly beautiful person, and you can feel her love for her work in each step of the process. I admire so much that she started this company and welcomes and celebrates every couple she meets! After deciding together the general components of the ceremony, she then walked us through writing our “love story” which was such a special experience for both my husband and I. Sitting down to write it, we didn’t realized how much we would come to cherish this- we each took a few moments to write all the reasons why we loved each other so much, and this in and of itself made working with Mirelle so special. She received our love story with so much love and excitement and made us feel so excited to share our vows, too! This love story was weaved in beautifully throughout the ceremony, and set the stage for our vows. My husband and I were married on October 12, 2019…while looking around online for officiants, I came across Honeybreak Officiants and after reading all the reviews, I decided to send them an email. I got an immediate response and was set up with Alex Black, who asked to make some sort of face-to-face meeting first thing. We FaceTimed a few days later and immediately decided to go with her and it was the best decision we made. I was emailed pages upon pages of wedding ceremony ideas, numerous choices for everything from greetings, readings, the ring exchange and the closing…after we picked what we wanted and emailed it back to her, she emailed back right away with any questions she had, or suggestions…she was also very open to any question that WE had.

On our wedding day, she arrived early and was nothing but warm and friendly…she came to sit with me and just chat while I was waiting in another room for the ceremony to begin and she was a very calming presence…I was told afterwards that before she came to see me she spoke to my husband and two sons, as well as greeted guests as they came in. When we began, it was smooth from beginning to end – I felt like she wasn’t just reading the passages we chose, but really speaking them to us and our guests in a very warm and friendly way. When she proclaimed us husband and wife, she seemed truly happy for us. Afterwards she had us sign the marriage license along with our maid of honor and best man as witnesses and then a couple of days later, emailed me a copy of it along with the text from our ceremony as a keepsake.
