I have to have ordered from this place a dozen times. I always bring them my business. Today a delivery person from this restaurant refused to leave my apartment building--standing at my door and yelling while I was home alone--until I provided a cash tip. I paid/tipped over their site. The restaurant then called me insisting he needed cash. I hope it was enough. It'll be the last money of mine you ever get.

It is all the more infuriating that the business's response below is to pretend they didn't get a tip. Even if they hadn't, they are not entitled to a dime more than they charge. Tips are offered by customers who received good service, not demanded by staff, and after that interaction I genuinely wish I hadn't left one. To call a customer to harangue them for money you are not owed (not to mention money you've already been paid!) is truly the lowest of the low.

If you order from this place, be prepared for them to hold your food hostage with their hand...

Takeout on several occasions. Experience with Hot and Sour soup positive, consistent quality. Ha Gaw, (Shrimp) Dim Sum was good, consistent. Crystal Skin Vegetable Dumpling in photo on wall near kitchen but looked different. This type of dumpling comes tightly packed into very small container, dumplings are edge to edge. To take dumpling out of plastic container the skin can easily break. This also happened with the Ha Gaw but both Dim Sum were flavorful, tasted fresh.

Some people taking orders could improve their attitude. Mocked for trying to pronounce Ha Gaw. Another time told the item I requested did not exist, had to show explicit photo of dumpling for person to pay attention, stop being insulting. While waiting for your order sometimes someone calls your order number, brings my order, other times ignored, the order sat behind counter. I know they are busy, the work may be uninteresting but they can be polite since our orders are paying their...

I am a fan of the Ollie's restaurant on 42nd street and have been there many times over the years. I was in the UWS for appointments and decided to try Ollies to go for lunch. The lunch combo price is fair, and includes a choice of soup or soda. However, I ordered the duck over rice and was somewhat disappointed.

The food came with the plastic lid tightly on and very hot. I'm assuming it had been microwaved and then taken immediately to the table. It took a few minutes for me to be able to take the lid off comfortably because of the heat. And then a much longer time for the food to cool down so that I could eat it. Almost half an hour. Then when I did, I found the duck to be very salty. There wasn't much duck either, in proportion to the rice.

I would call the service brusque but efficient. The seating area is comfortable for a take out place, so that is nice. And I enjoyed one of the window seats. Not sure I would visit...

Last time they forgot Wontons for Roast Pork Wonton Soup. Used to come with 4-6 wontons. My order today had 2 that was packed in deceptive packaging. The bowl seems to be the height of their old containers but it's actually 2 compartments. The top 1/3 contains less than 1/2 of their old portion. The bottom compartment is filled with water. THIS IS ANOTHER INSTANCE OF CHINESE RIPING OFF AMERICANS. First cyber-hacking, then spy balloons, now fraud. SEE PICTURES. Probably my last time ordering here.
