Sally did a wonderful job with my haircut! I've been burned a few times with stylists not really listening to what I want so I was nervous coming to a new place, but I ended up not having any reason to worry. Sally demonstrated her knowledge and skill with a few suggestions at the start and throughout the cut, but also recognized when I knew what I wanted and made it happen. Some stylists in the past have been hesitant to cut my hair as short and give as many layers as I say I want because they know it'll bounce up a bit as it dries, but Sally totally recognized that I had my heart set on this style and worked her magic. She absolutely knew how to make little adjustments here and there to make the style look its best with my hair type and preferred styling routine (i.e. minimal time and product). I am so incredibly happy with what may be the best haircut I've had in years. Absolutely looking forward to...

Last Sunday at 4pm I realized I had two big events this week and my hair was NOT ready. I searched for a local salon and called Salli B to see if they had last minute availability before they closed at 6pm. Salli picked up and really listened to me, even asked for a quick text of inspo pics to send the stylist who was working to make sure she was comfortable cutting the shag I wanted.

Shaniqua ended up giving me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. She really listened to me and went for it. She noticed the quirks of my head of hair and worked with them not against them. She showed me how to use a round brush and hair dryer for a just few minutes on my bangs to give them life, and I, a 44 year old with a life long commitment to air drying, bought a round brush that night. I will definitely be back to see her.

Santa is absolutely incredible. I used to come in with a pretty clear idea of what I wanted and she'd always listen to me so well – now that I know and trust Santa, I just ask her to do what she thinks is best and she SOMEHOW OUT DOES HERSELF EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I always leave thrilled with my color and cut (seriously – every time I meet someone new they say 'OMG I love your hair!'). More importantly she is just a great, kind, funny human who is a joy to be around. My days at the salon can be a little long but she (and the rest of the Salli B staff) manage to keep it so fun and relaxed.

The location is beautiful and more open/airy than a typical NYC salon which just helps the entire experience be more relaxing.
