First of all, I would like it to be clear that I participated as a hair model.
My hairdresser was good at what she does. She was extremely sweet, made sure I was comfortable, and did everything right. Except for one thing, she gave me a color that was nowhere near the color on the pictures. I asked for a light red strawberry blonde coppery color. And showed her pictures of what I wanted. It was a double process, so I wasn't expecting perfection at all. I have friends and family who are hairdressers and they all tell me all the time how hard it is to do color. That being said, I asked for one color, and came out a very, very light yellow blonde with flesh toned pink as the root color. Now on to my fault; I told her I loved it. I was genuinely trying to convince myself I loved it. I was. But the pink was the exact same color as the pink on my scalp and face and I looked like a clown. I have the nicest friends and family in the world so of course they tried to calm me down but even they were all agreeing I had to do something. I felt like I looked crazy.
Now, my hairdresser could not have known that I didn't like it because I didn't speak up. She was so excited about the color and never asked me if I liked it she just kept saying "Oh I love this color" and "Oh it's so cute" and "Oh look pink" (mind you I definitely did not want pink - definitely not flesh toned pink). So this made it worse because I didn't know how to crush her spirits. I also didn't know if she would even fix it because I was a hair model and I didn't pay as much as you would for a normal color experience.
Half of this was my fault, but mid trying to convince myself I liked it I broke down hysterically crying about a block away and called the salon. I explained my situation and that I was a hair model and I wasn't sure if anyone could fix it because of those circumstances. She assured me that she would discuss with someone and that they would call me right back. I never received any sort of contact back which is why I'm giving them a rating of 1 star. Even if I did pay less than the average customer I am still a paying customer. And yes I paid less but that was a lot of money for me that I finally decided to spend on myself after having terrible circumstances the last few months. I was also never told prior that this might be a "final sell" sort of thing, which if that is the policy, it should be made clear to each and every client during a hair modeling session. Even if they had called me back and explained their policies on why they couldn't redo it for free, I would not be giving this rating right now. I am a very understanding person but customer service is customer service.
Long story short I ended up getting a box dye to use as a toner to cut the yellow color because I genuinely didn't want to go anywhere looking like that. Everyone that saw me with my initial hair agreed that I had to change it. My hair is now a grey-ish blonde because it got a little muddy from a box dye, which I expected, but it's better than before. I went in trying to get a natural strawberry blonde, came out with whitish yellow and flesh toned pink, and ended it with a grey/silver blonde, all while never hearing back from the salon when I was supposed to hear back "soon."
I haven't listed my hairdresser's name because I think she was very sweet, kind, and good at hair...she just didn't do the hair that I wanted at all and the hair she gave me was terrible for my complexion. That being said, the 1 star review is not toward her at all. She did everything great except for the outcome in relation to what I wanted. The 1 star is in reference to a salon that did not help a paying customer, regardless of...

This is one of the most unprofessional salons I have ever booked a reservation at, DONT LET THE REVIEWS FOOL YOU!!! I had an appointment with Noelle on 4/2 at 2pm and I booked this reservation about a month or two in advance, which was a double process. I was told that she had space from 2-6 to do my entire head, therefore I booked my reservation & was just waiting for it.. Fast forward to today April 2nd I go to my appointment and I tell them my name and that Iâm here for my reservation and Noelle herself was at the front with one of the receptionists and the first words that come out her mouth is âOH hey we tried calling you for weeks and unfortunately I donât have time to do everything today â.. LIKE UM EXCUSE ME? Not one time did they call or send me an email to confirm my reservation or even notify me that I needed to come in for a consolation or anything. NOT ONE SINGLE TIME FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MARCH, they tried to say that they put notes in my account about them calling and Noelle personally said our her mouth that her and one of the receptionists River called me. THAT IS A FLAT OUT LIE!! They never left a voicemail, nobody emailed me, I even have their number saved in my phone and I checked and the entire month of March they did NOT call me not one time.. As theyâre telling me all of this Iâm clearly so upset and I told them thatâs crazy unacceptable, I work at a waxing center we would NEVER book people over your reservation, no matter if youâre waxing your full body and it takes hours you just donât do that, you wait till the person shows up because that is THEIR reservation. So they visibly saw that I was upset and Noelle had the audacity to tell me to sit at a chair so she could see my hair to see if she could do it and then she looks at it and says âno yeah I donât have time to do it todayâ.. HOW EMBARRASSING AND DISRESPECTFUL IS THAT???? IF YOU CLEARLY SEE IM UPSET AND YOU KNOW YOU BOOKED OVER MY RESERVATION WHY PUT ME IN A CHAIR AND SAY THAT TO GET ME MORE UPSET??? In front of people also like omg I was so mad.
I donât know who is in charge of keeping track of confirming reservations but this was so unprofessional. I was so upset my birthday is on the 5th I had plans after this hair appointment, that Sunday and the day of and now I had to book a last minute appointment elsewhere and move all my plans... highly disappointed, I came here once before and loved it and sadly now I am never going back.
AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MY ENTIRE LIFE I have ever herd of a hair stylist personally calling her clients opposed to the receptionist calling. If thatâs the case DO NOT BOOK WITH NOELLE, she is terrible at reaching out to her clients and has the audacity to just push clients to the side when she books other people over your reservation and it is...
Read moreSo I wanted to get my hair ombred and my friend had recently got it done, it looked great so I asked who did it. She referred my to this salon. She explained to me that it is also a school and they sometimes have the students do classes so they need models which they charge a small fee. I usually really skeptical about beauty students doing hair but since my friends hair looked so good I thought I would give it a try.My friend gave me the email of the girl and I emailed her the same day. Ryan Hansen was her name she was very sweet and explained to me that she did ombre classes every thursday at 8:45am for a small fee of $45. Amazing right? I told her I would come in her next class. Now during the time between I received emails from 2 different people Ryan Hansen and Christine Hansen. Christine was the one who was emailing me more so I asumed she would be doing it. Thursday when I got there Ryan was the one who was doing my hair. She began doing my hair when I noticed she was doing it very differently than I was used to it being done (I forgot to mention that I have been getting my hair ombre since I was about 16-17, I'm 19 now). She was skipping sections almost in a highlight pattern, and I HATE highlights. I thought maybe this was a technique she used on my friend so I went along with it. When she finished it look fine in the salon but when i left thats when I noticed she basically did highlights. I went to work the same day and all everyone kept saying was "oh you got highlights!", you can imagine my frustration. I didn't want to be annoying so I wasn't going to contact her and ask her to fix it but it was really bothering me. So I sent her an email apologizing a thousand times but I it looked too much like highlights and I wanted to know if I could make an appointment to fix it and that I was willing to pay whatever amount for it. This is verbatim what she text me back "oh! Im pretty sure when we looked at it, it looked like ombre. I would fix it for you but we're not allowed to do redos"....Are you kidding me? If she got a passing grade on this assignment idk how because my hair is not ombre AT ALL! Point of this story is do not use the student program or at least this girl. The master stylist are amazing but the students not so much hence why they are...
