Bluemercury — Local services in New York

I walked into this location today to replace an eyebrow pencil. I also found an eye brightener I wanted to purchase. There was one employee there and she was helping another client. She didn't greet me or say that she was helping someone but to let her know if she could be of assistance when she was available. Quite the contrary: while I was looking at some product she stood directly in front of me until I asked "Am I in your way?". Obviously she couldn't move around a customer.

I gave it another ten minutes of looking at other products while holding the samples of those I wanted to purchase before I gave up. I placed the samples on a chair and left.

I will place an order for the products I wanted directly with the companies who manufacture them. Certainly Blue Mercury shouldn't receive any commission. Shockingly poor...

On the 30th of April, the two women operating the store on 57 th & 1st, closed the store before 6 PM ( which is the time of closure on website) …and were extremely rude and said they would close the store anytime before 6, if they so wished. The is considering i am a regular at the store spending a huge amount every month. Poor service & rude arrogant behaviour from the ladies supposedly for help is not expected Will be taking it up with a formal complaint. But warming other...

I like Bluemercury. I keep thinking that the name is off-putting. Makes me think of something toxic. Weird. Clean, nice. Products are nice. Can't think of anything that would really draw me. Prices very high. Knowledgeability of clerks is fair. Had a run-in with one if the ladies, but other clerk very helpful. All in all they seem to be doing very well, but I can't...
