So many red flags here -- I had bought a Groupon to use, and Bella the owner said she didn't have it in her system to accept the Groupon. So she offered me a "discounted" price of $10/Botox unit. Then she proceeded to tell me that I would need no less than 40 units to get the "natural look" that I wanted. The last time I had gotten Botox (at another med spa) I'd had 26 units injected and I'd had a long lasting smooth effect that lasted many months. Bella gave me several long explanations about how the instructions on the packaging require the injection of 40 units to be effective and how she knew what she was talking about having been in business so long. She was clearly lying through her teeth because no other medical professional I've spoken to has ever said that -- you get as many units as you need, it varies by person. I didn't want a frozen face, just light smoothing of the forehead and 11 lines and a softening around my eyes. I knew from personal experience that 40 units was way too much. Since I'd taken the time out of my day for this appointment I told her to just do 25, which is what I did last time at another med spa and which was effective. Two weeks later I could not believe how little effect the injections Bella gave me were. It was like I'd hardly been injected anything at all. Bella told me to return in 2 weeks in case I needed any touch ups. When other med spas have told me to come back in 2 weeks for any touch ups if needed, it has always been complimentary, which is why I returned to see Bella, so she could fix her work. But Bella took the opportunity to tell me, I told you so, I told you 25 units would not be enough. So she told me to pay for an additional 15 units but I told her again, I know that 40 units results in a frozen face for me, so I told her to just add 10 units more. So now within the matter of two weeks I had a total of 35 units injected by Bella. And I'm still pretty shocked at how little effect the injections have had on my forehead after another 3 weeks, and the eye area looks pretty much the same as before my first appointment. I am convinced she either didn't inject the full amount of units I paid for, or she used a diluted version of Botox, maybe not even Botox itself. I have this feeling Bella tells a lot of her customers that they need no less than 40 units, and essentially manipulates them into coming back in if they don't pay for a full 40 units. I felt so uncomfortable with the whole experience but it's hard for me to call someone an outright liar and manipulator to their face, though I insisted that I knew I definitely didn't need 40 units based on past experiences. I won't be calling Bella to complain about anything as I don't think I'd get a satisfactory response, but be warned, do not come here, especially if you've never had Botox done because she will tell you outright falsehoods to get you to pay for as many units she can convince...
Read moreOne of the most horrific experiences of my life. Hard for me to understand how this place has so many highly written reviews without paying for bad reviews to be removed. I found this place on Groupon for a package of 2 RF microneedling treatments. I’ve had RF microneedling done at many other medical spas and have never had an encounter like this. first of all, let me clarify this is not a “medical spa”, There’s one room in the back of a hair salon, and it appears that the estetician, Tina is either renting to use it or working there part-time Because she told me she works at two other spas on other days. I went to go treat my knees and before starting she asked for me to show her my body, including my stomach and my arms. First she commented about my weight telling me I was so skinny, then said my issue was I needed lymphatic drainage and that she has an endosphere machine for it and I may not have good results without doing that at least 6 times, she was pressuring me to buy a package of that, I said no, I wanted to treat the wrinkles on my knees and wasn’t looking for other treatments. She then proceeded to take a roll of saran wrap and smack my legs with it, turning my skin pink and saying this is what I should be doing every night. While she put numbing cream on me (FYI their numbing cream is so weak you could buy something that works better off amazon), she then started yanking my hair, like hard, and saying this is what I should do to prevent hair loss. Lastly, she was pulling on my cheeks and my neck stretching out my skin and saying I should also do this every day to prevent my skin sagging. I’ve never felt so personally violated and busting whatever self esteem I had left. She removed the numbing cream with water only, she did not sanitize prior to the treatment with rubbing alcohol as one is supposed to. I was cringing the whole time (and in the most pain I’ve ever experienced from a treatment in my life), it smelt like burnt hair in the room. I asked multiple time surge name of the machine as it was clearly old and no Venus or morpheus8 and she would not tell me. She gave zero aftercare instructions other than don’t shower that night - she told me it was ok to work out which is a huge no post RF microneedling. Photos are 2 days post procedure and today, it has been 6 days. I’m seriously concerned she permanent damaged my collagen. Derm has confirmed I am burned and have an infection. While Tina showed me using a new tip, she still didn’t use the proper santization protocols that you do prior to any microneedling. Honestly don’t know how she is licensed but should not be. I confronted her and rather than apologizing or explaining what she treated me with, she just sent a copy of the tax and tip receipt that it was refunded. Please think twice and find yourself a real med spa, don’t chase the cheapest place on groupon like I did....
