This is not a boxing club or gym per se. It operates more in accordance with fitness cardio HIIT type routines intermixed with boxing movements. There is no ring, contact sparring with headgear like traditional boxing venues. These are mandatory and not options if you intend to run a boxing oriented gym. Otherwise what you have is just another pseudo boxing fitness facility along the lines of Title, CKO, FitTheoreum, iLoveKickboxing, 9Rounds, 30 Min Hit and many others. This seems to be a popular trend these days. This place offers the same with limited equipment and space! No medicine, slam or wall balls let alone speed bags, slip or maize bag or even full heavy bags. Just those annoying aqua bags. No lockers or showers. Just a single restroom. Yikes. For the price you can easily find a full scale boxing club and have all the usual amenities and modalities to have serious full scale boxing training and not just cardio. Also boxing gyms and trainers should all be sanctioned under USA Boxing and trainers should be certified coaches as well as certified personal trainers,. especially if you are doing fitness.
UPDATE & RESPONSE: Spar? Sure come to a real boxing gym like Woodside Boxing, EQBC or Mendez with a ring and experienced fighters and trainers. Not going to get that work done with burpees and...
Read moreI’m not the most disciplined when it comes to sticking with a gym. When BOUT first opened I was skeptical I’d stick with it but after almost half a year I’m still coming to the gym - a lot of the credit due to Keven, the main trainer, and the other fantastic instructors (Daniella, David, Donald). Keven is the best trainer I’ve ever had - he has that rare combo of being part trainer, part therapist (yes, training is psychological at the end of the day!) and part motivational speaker. He’ll kick your b*# but do it in a way that makes you feel better about yourself after. The crowd is also mixed with a range of levels so you can find your niche. Definitely worth...
Read moreI started going to Bout Boxing in October 2023 just to see what it was like, and now I’m hooked! I go thrice a week, and I look forward to it after a long day at work. The classes have been a game changer for my physical and mental health. And I feel so much stronger now. The mix of boxing and strength/cardio exercises is perfect, and the trainers really know how to push you in the best way. They always make sure your form is on point and keep you motivated. Coaches Colin and Raul are especially my favorites. If you’re thinking about trying boxing and adding a fun workout to your routine, I can’t recommend Bout...
