Customers be aware - I asked for my beloved "Armani Exchange White Rabbit" Hat to be dry cleaned there. They accepted it. When I went to pick it up, they had completely destroyed it due to over-heating it. The hat had SHRUNK and they had dried the skin so all of the rabbit's hair was falling out. It was not usable. So they started to pull off first - its not our fault and the hat was old b.s.... then when I showed them pictures of the "before" and "after" hat and they could see the hat had shrunk they said they would reimburse me for up to $100. First they found a "cheap made in China" hat for $69 (I had paid $200). Then they said they would give me a check for $100 after I fill out a "Claims" form as their "facility" would only cover that much! It was a lot of back and forth and finally they came clean in that they had ruined my beloved white rabbit hat.

White Rabbit hats are very hard to find because they are original. There are plenty of fake ones or colored ones but white is very rare.

So, at first I thought I would just get the check and move on... when I went to pick up the so called check to go buy another one, the owner said the check was "locked" in the other register and his colleague had the key - another ploy to delay the reimbursement.

I spent 2 weekends looking for a Rabbit had - white one at a reasonable price. Couldn't find any. Its middle of winter and I wanted to replace it. So, I found a Hat on sale for $163. I bought it.

I went back and asked for it to be reimbursed, and the owner refused.

I decided not to accept the $100 and write this review online.

This place is just an outsourcing shop. I don't know where they get their clothing dry-cleaned but to throw a Rabbit hat in a dry cleaning machine is pure negligence or it is one of the cheap facilities where they do a bulk thing.

When a fur hat is ruined, they need to reimburse the price of the replacement or the original purchase price. This was an expensive hat from Armani Exchange. They knew it too.

Be aware that if your clothing gets destroyed - this is the game they play... hoping that you give up on wanting to get reimbursed by "check being locked in another register"... or that it is "made in china" they lie its over $100 when its $49. or that they won't replace it - and keep saying the item was old... even though they shrunk the hat !

Do not use this cleaner. My wife dropped off a pair of pants and the next week I received someone else's wash and fold laundry in my bag. I called to rectify the situation and evergreen took back the wash and fold and claimed they never got my pants. When I asked how they got my dry clean bag in the first place, they claimed it was floating around their office after an old order and returned to the wrong client who then used it. Even though this explanation was basically made up, Evergreen continued to deny they ever received the pants and offered no compensation. Evergreen even tried to charge me for the other clients wash and fold they returned in my bag and did not reverse the charge until I pointed it out a month later (well after they took back the laundry). I was not looking for huge compensation for the lost pants but Evergreen offered nothing at all. Let this be a warning that if you use this cleaner you may lose your item for no...

I’m surprised that this business doesn’t have more stars. I’ve been using them for years (at least 8 years, probably more). They always do a great job with the dry cleaning and I’ve gotten some minor alterations as well. I moved to downtown Brooklyn for a couple years and wasn’t able to find a dry cleaner I liked as much, so I continued to come up to LIC for dry cleaning. I’m back in the area now and continue to use them. I’ve always been happy with the service and the prices are very reasonable. I also have very sensitive skin (and nasal allergies), and the products they use don’t bother my skin or sinuses at all. They are thorough and have reasonable turnaround times. They’ve also made an effort to accommodate faster turnaround times (to the extent possible) when I’ve needed items cleaned urgently for events.
