Bowling Green — Local services in New York

When traveling into Manhattan, and subsequentially most parts of Queens, anywhere in the Bronx, Harlem, Downtown Brooklyn, or into East New York (New Lots Avenue), even if Google Maps says that the 4 or 5 line wouldn't be the best route and suggested me to use the R, 1, J or Z lines, I love this station and 4 and 5 lines so much that I would go out or my way to board those trains at this station. One thing that may bother some people about this station, and I say so because it certainly bothers me on a weekly basis, is the temperature control abilities of the station as a whole. It doesn't matter if it's middle of February, with a -37 degree wind chill, inside this station while waiting for the train it is EXTREMELY hot and dehydrating to the point of extreme exaughation for me quite more often then I would like to admit. But it doesn't take away from my love for this...

the station it self is very clean, but costumer service is the worst. I had an issue with my MTA card, where it didnt want to work. I had 2 days left until my card gets expired and the woman at the desk did not let me in because she did not want too even though she saw my card information and saw that it had two days left and was unlimited. I had to purchase a new card... this is not the only time it had happened to me, and I think majority of the people the works in the booth has to get more educated and treat people as people not as animals because she had the worst attitude towards me for no reason... just because my card wasn't...

Some of the best customer service in NYC! We had the pleasure of seeing the subway advisor Alfonso Cauldwell (I hope I’m spelling this right!) give incredibly detailed and attentive service to not just us but also other subway users including those who didn’t speak English. His caring nature and sincere attitude is an asset to the subway and they should really implement a review service for their staff members so they can be recognised, rewarded and valued accordingly.
