PIZZA ETALIA — Restaurant in New York

A friend of mine went to this place on Sunday evening July 23, 2017 around 6:00pm his family came in really hungry and just wanted some pizza. Of course, you can imagine how hungry they were after walking around battery park all day. They went ahead and ordered drinks and two large pizzas and paid with no problem. They finally received their two pizza pies, but once they bit down they noticed that one of the pies was burnt badly on the bottom. My friend went over to ask could they make another pizza for his family because one of the pies was on the burnt side. It's funny because the guy cooking the pizza blurted out, "Oh again?", as if this has happen before.They went ahead and agreed to make another one for them (no issues right?). Well.. while they were eating the second pizza pie waiting for their fresh unburnt pizza this guy with his glasses and facial hair signals my friend to walk over to the counter. This guy tells him that he must return the whole pizza without any bites in order to receive a fresh one? Of course my friend is like what are you serious bro? Do you know this man fixed his mouth to tell my friend that he can't have another pizza? Please note, this is the same pizza he took one bite out of and could tell almost immediately it was burnt from the taste. After arguing and going back and forth with this douche register guy, my friend's wife wanted to leave because their kids were crying from the shouting. They ended up leaving both of the pizzas at the table burnt and unburnt. My friend paid for one pizza and one burnt pizza his family couldn't even eat. So you be the...

The pizza wasn't good. Too much sauce. Not enough flavor. But what's worse than that is the staff is so rude and unprofessional. I order a slice and when i come back, the guy didn't even put it in the oven yet and didn't even apologized. Then I had to wait longer for the slice to be ready. They don't have any spoons or straws available where it's labeled they would have them. They got loud music playing like we're in a club and you can't even have a simple conversation without having to raise your voice. The so called manager couldn't follow simple instructions and refused to prepare my food the way I want it. Just pure laziness. Then when I ask to speak to the owner, they don't give that number out. So how am I to make a complaint. Just shows that no one cares how customers are treated. The owner is not even available for concerns. Horrible service....

Great pizza joint. Prices are reasonable, handy to the subway, spacious, clean and they serve beer. The selection isn't great but that alone earns 5 of 5 considering it's a counter service pizza joint. There is a single unisex bathroom that's reasonably clean. There's tables and chairs that could sit 40 people, so I presume this place gets busy during lunch, but it's quiet even with a dozen people having dinner tonight(10/12/17). They seved me super quick and only $5 minimum for card. Beer includes Corona, Modelo, Peralta, Legunitas in bottles but only Legunitas on tap.
