(Changing Display Name for Privacy Reasons)
Two days ago I went into this Brandy Melville and truly had the worst experience Iâve ever had in a store. Previously I have expressed to my friends that I hate going to Brandy Melville alone because the employees are mean and I like to have moral support lol. I went into the store and tried on a few items, and when I was done came out to hand them to the employee (girl with red hair) working the fitting rooms. I was given the nastiest look. Originally, I went into the store looking for a particular top, but I couldnât find it on the floor. So after trying on the other items mentioned previously, I left. As I walked out I saw the tank top I originally wanted in the window. I went back in the store and went up to the register and asked if someone would be able to get it for me. Mind you, I couldâve easily reached in the window and grabbed it myself, I just felt that wouldâve been rude. The girl at the register was not friendly and was confused by my request. After I re-explained that there was a tank top in the window display hanging on a hanger that I wanted, and asking if someone was allowed to get it from me. She then asked the girl who was actually fixing the window display if she can get it for me. The display girl scoffed and said âwhat?â So the cash register girl re-explained. Then the display girl said âwe canât take clothes off a mannequins!â This is all with an annoyed, hostile attitude. So then i stepped in and explained that it wasnât on a mannequin. Display girl said âwhat top is it??â And i said âitâs the white tank top with little hearts on it on a hanger on the only clothing rack in the display. Itâs the only white tank top thereâ. She then asked âis it not on the floor??â. My initial thought was how on earth would I know that? I donât work here and your store is a giant mess. There are piles of mixed clothes literally everywhere. What I said out loud was that I wasnât sure, but I did look and didnât see it. She then turned to some other employee who was standing near her and said âi still donât understand what she wantsâ in the same attitude that sheâs maintained the entire exchange. The girl she spoke to, who was the nicest one there, came up to me and said âhi, what can i help you with?â, i explained it again to her. She said exactly what I said to the display girl. Then the display girl started to grumble under her breath. At that point i had enough, and started to feel like i was asking the biggest favor in the world. I turned to the nice girl and i said âit seems like itâs really hard to get the top, itâs okay, i can just order it onlineâ she smiled and said âyeah, sorryâ. I thanked her and left. The fact that these stores create such a hostile environment for shoppers to a point that itâs a joke amongst consumers is ridiculous. That last girl was the only helpful one, everyone else was rude. Itâs very unfortunate that they are so miserable with themselves and feel the need to project that onto customers.    Read moreHorrible experience at this location due to staff incompetence (mainly the manager - Rachel) . I visited the store to buy some things for my daughter. I made two separate purchases, first using my foreign credit card. I was told my foreign card didn't go through. Then I used my American credit card and also cash to complete the purchase. Later on in the day, after checking my bank statement I realized that my foreign card was charged as well. So basically I was charged twice for both my purchases. Called the store and asked to speak to the manager (Rachel). her attitude from the get go was so rude and she didn't want to be bothered. I had to go back at the store and speak with her in person. She recognized the mistake as i presented her with facts, but told me this is my problem and not hers, and that there nothing she could do. That I have to figure it out with my foreign bank, while admitting that it was the store's mistake. It was clear to me she didn't know how to do the reimbursement. Finally, after 20 min of full blown attitude on her end, and after she pressed some buttons on the cash register, she claimed she was able to give me the full refund. She printed the receipt and handed it to me, 'apologizing' for the inconvenience. My mistake was i didn't check the return receipt right there. Later on that day i decided to take a look at it and realized she hadn't reimbursed me the full amount. Now i have to call customer service and file a formal complain. That manager is way too professionally immature and incompetent to handle the store and the customers. Not sure what criteria does the upper management use to select store managers, but they dropped the ball on this one. Needless to say I will never shop this...
   Read moreNot my favorite shopping experience, but I was there with two teenagers so whatever. First, the space is miniscule, with ZERO storage space so cardboard boxes of clothes are just stacked everywhere, blocking walkways and clothing racks. Be prepared to feel like you're on a cramped subway pressing up against strangers bodies. Second, if you are not a size XS or S, maybe an M in some stuff, don't even waste your time. This store is not for you. That's why it can tote 'one size fits all' as its slogan, and I have no idea why that's something to be proud of. Third, there's mention in other reviews of a dressing room... non-existent now. The curtained off area looks to presently be full of boxes and their teenage workers on their phones, doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Sweet gig. Customers were literally trying on clothes in the store- shirts off, everything, as strangers brushed by them, just to make sure it fit before they left since the return policy is atrocious.
I can only assume, with all the negative comments on how terribly rude the workers are, that one of those terribly rude workers is the manager and she's hired all her rude friends, and doesn't care. That's the only possible reason I can think of that a store manager or owner would get all these complaints and one star reviews and STILL have done nothing to hire anyone of quality. They were all snotrags, even to each other, which is a first for me to witness.
