Brooklyn Finest Mini Market — Local services in New York

The owner of this market is an amazing human being and Stephanie a wonderful young lady.

Yesterday around 6pm, I got lost in NY, my phone died unexpectedly and with no GPS or idea where I was or how to get home all the way to South Jersey (around Atlantic city). Being new to NJ and NY I totally depended on my phone. After I didn't recognized the sings where to go I exited in hopes to find any store that could have a charger because the one in my car was not working, I go around blocks and blocks, there is no parking anywhere and finally I see Mr. Sal's mini market. I was helped by Stephanie who was so sweet from the beginning. We tried some chargers and my phone is not charging. We then try the last one, witch Mr sal had to come and bring down, he noticed my stress so he calmly says don't worry take your time, you'll be fine. But the phone is not working. So I start tearing, thinking I need to get home to my baby and husband plus all the traffic and rain that was going to go down that day. Mr. Sal helped to calm down and explained what streets to get on, what bridges etc. Stephanie helped writing down everything and I was so grateful and embarrassed that I'm crying but so humble that there is still people that are kind at heart and patient enough to help a stranger.

In all of this I got to see how nice, organized and clean his shop is and how nice they are to everyone who comes in.

So thank you thank you Mr. Sal, many blessings to you all. I will remember this forever.

Ps. Phone started charging after Mr. Sal's directions to pass the two bridges and stayed on 440, so I got home with 6% of battery and 100% of...

Omg, FINALLY! a mini mart that has great customer service in my area! Over the years the stores on that corner weren't friendly and sometimes rude, that is why I stop going.

One day passing by that corner, I noticed the store looked different. I decided to drop in to check it out. Let me tell you Sal, the owner welcomed my friend and I with GREAT bedside manners! The first thing I noticed it was so clean and well organized. Plus rows of shelves that I never seen before! Definitely an upgrade!

Sal introduced us to the guy who makes the sandwiches his name is Marco. Sal told me that he raised the sandwich area a little higher so customers can view Marco making his #1 chop cheese sandwich! I can't wait to taste. Sal you got me on that right ? lol I will definitely go back to Brooklyn's finest...

“Finest” is really a true statement in the name of this place. It’s not just the products (although good and fresh - and always excellent) but it’s more so the people that make the difference in this place. Sal is just amazing and so is everyone who works there. I’ve gone in and asked for certain things and He/they’ve ordered it just to accommodate ME! And if they’re doing that for me, they're doing it for others also. Sal’s not just a business owner and his staff aren’t just workers - they’ve all become friends … when I go there it’s like seeing close friends/almost family.
