I had a free intro class with Vicky, who teaches beautifully, at the end of July and decided to join the club in August 2022. It was honestly one of the best decision in my life! The front desk staff (Alina, Genesis, and Jarrod) and instructors are all truly wonderful. Upon walking into the studio, you are greeted warmly by the friendly Front Desk staff. Front Desk staff are always so helpful and patient when I have questions. They are also encouraging, and supportive when signing up for classes (especially Genesis). They really take the time to make sure you understand your membership agreement (including the club's policies and rules). There's a 3 month commitment for any membership you sign up for (but it goes by in a flash because the whole team makes working out so fun!).
Weekly classes with Nicole really helped me: correct my form and posture, grow taller and move more confidently (no more hunching over). Milla's classes makes my body feel brand new. Andrea always have creative workouts that push my body to the limit (it will be okay and you'll be fineš). Really all the instructors are great!
I went from a sedentary lifestyle (due to working remotely during the pandemic) to working out at the studio 5-6 times a week. This place is a life changer ā¤ļøā¤ļø. I'm thankful I found this studio and would highly recommend this studio to anyone.
5/6/23 Update -- They added more classes on the Saturdays! I've been thoroughly enjoying the Saturday Suspend classes with Hala ā¤ļø. She really knows how to make you push yourself and she's always coming up with new workout sets to change up the class a bit. She always makes sure you walk out of that class feeling spent (a good thing). I feel stronger and stronger after each Suspend class. I'm so glad they added...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI basically live here, and Iām very picky about my fitness classes so you know itās good. The front desk is always friendly and super efficient - seriously, Alina, Genesis and Jarrod are so sweet and helpful. The space is clean and the instructors are amazing. Iāve been to studios where itās very cookie cutter, but you can tell that the staff here is given a lot of freedom to design their classes. For someone like me who goes a lot, this is really helpful because you get a variety of approaches and options. If I want to really focus on my form, Nicoles class will let me reset. If I want to get a mid-day energetic workout in, Alex is perfect. If I need to be a bikini model in a week, Milla would easily make this happen lol her classes are intense but fly by because sheās hysterical. I shouldnāt have even started naming people because everyone has something that makes me want to take them - Sueās chair stuff is incredible, I feel like Iām at least an inch taller after Andreaās class every time, you get the picture. That said. Yāall know the deal in bay ridge. Parking is trash, but that canāt be helped so just walk and use it as a warmup. Also because itās bay ridge, places are small across the board so it can get cramped. Very minor in the grand scheme of things. Iāve been coming just for basic healthiness and accidentally got abs over the course of 5 short weeks and I feel like thatās what we should focus on. You really feel so good that you donāt even notice what itās doing aesthetically till itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very excited to try a "free" intro class! However, when I arrived The girl behind the front desk asked me if I had grippy socks. I said yes I do. She then asked to see them. As she was examining them she ask Moka the instructor to come and approve my "grippy socks" Moka inspected my grippy socks as if she took a class on how grippy my socks should be. She then rejected my socks and said "They don't have enough grips on them, but we sell our grippy socks if you'd like to purchase them. $14.00 for a pair of socks! I don't think so. I declined and they sorry can't join the class. I left so disappointed thinking, don't I have to sign a liability waver?, so why all this unnecessary scrutiny. I felt embarrassed that this action was taken in front of other clients. Confused that these two girls rejected my "grippy socks" when I wear them to yoga classes, other Pilates classes, but Club Pilates must have a special education on how to determine the strength of the grip on the "grippy socks". I believe this is a money grabber trying to get people to but their "grippy socks". Now Club Pilates lost a potential client. Sorry Club Pilates you need to retrain your expert "grippy sock" inspectors. I give 0 stars. There are other places to go without all...
