hi my name is maria on 1/14/2016 . I went to capital one to do my regular transaction i have been doing in this Bank for over 25 years,when this Bank was under other names Greenpoint & then Northfork . since it became capital one it is still a great bank when we had other manager together with Shirley running this Branch. On this day 1/14/16 as i went to do a deposit i gave the teller by the Name Kristen Merser a check & cashed . All she had to do was very simple i gave her a check to first cashed against my saving account ,then after to deposit into my checking $1,200.00 in cashed and &700.00 from the check that she had to cashed against my savings. Towards then i asked her can you pls give me the Balance slip. which she did i looked through it and noticed she deposit in a wrong account. All i told looked you deposit my money in a wrong account, she then started to get rude and nasty because i told her to correct it . she kept on that why i didn't tell her on before she did all that work. I reply you should know by now the difference between the pink deposit with the checking account number She through the check at me with deposit slip and said out loud look am not helping you go to another teller. Anyway i call John Goglias the new manager i explain about the mistake instead of him act professional he turn around and told me Maria why don't you talk to your husband and see if he want to move the money out of this Bank can you believe this useless manager. the worse manager ever to come...
Read moreI was unbaffled by the horrible customer service I received. I came to wire some urgent money for my dad and was basically rejected and denied for the service. I have a Capital One 360 Checking and was told I can not wire money via 360 Checking. The client manager asked me to use other banks for wire transfer. I told her I just closed my Bank of America account currently I only have Capital One and asked her if I could open another account that supports wire transfer. The client manager recommended not to open the account because I could not open an account just to transfer the money so basically I can’t wire transfer my money using my existing Capital One account and I can not open a new account because the client manager assumed I will only transfer the money and close the account. The other client manager also mentioned they have the right to refuse to open an account for me. I was so disappointed that I went to Chase bank right after, transferred my direct deposit from Capital One to Chase and completed my wire transfer. The Capital One client manager also kept complaining about Capital One IT department and their internal issues while servicing me. After visiting Apple and Chase, I got to speak to Michelle. She answered EVERY QUESTION! Knowledgeable and kind. IT dept. was tricky but that is the tech, not the people. Teams, plural, were working on my issues and though it took 4 calls and 7 transfers to security teams and reps; we all stayed in the fight and my issue was resolved.
