Bad Habits — Restaurant in New York

I would never go back there again or recommend to anyone!.. if I could give it a zero minus star I would!!!! If you ever find yourself here Make sure you have cash on you! They literally will keep you there til closing! I went there at 8pm for my first time yesterday with my daughter to watch the berlanga/canelo fight we were enjoying ourselves and I spent over $230. Which included a surcharge for the fight .. we were ready to leave by 12:30am and because our cards wouldn’t work due to a technical malfunction with Chase bank they treated us like thieves as if we didn’t want to pay our bill which wasn’t true both my daughter and I had each atleast over $500 in our accts. I go out a lot and I pay top dollar anywhere I go their behavior was disgusting to say the least. Everywhere I go to eat or have drinks or both I pay every cent and I tip handsomely I give the highest tip when possible and I have never been treated so badly in an establishment in my entire life no matter what state or country I go to. They kept us there til 4am we tried everything and they treated us their patrons who put money in there pockets terribly!! My daughter being only 20 years old and her first night out w me at this place was embarrassed and felt humiliated and even scared by the ways she was being treated as if she was trying to ditch her bill which we never do. I work for the city of New York and make more than a cocktail waitress and she behaved like she’s never had money before I am also a business owner of a music studio in downtown New York City and know exactly how a guest should be treated especially when they are having payment issues with a debit card so these people at bad habits need a course in decorum they behaved terrible towards my daughter and I. I offered to leave my personal bank card information and even my physical card to be charged soon as the bank allowed just so we can be let go home. My daughter her first time being there even offered to leave her bank card she is a college student and goin for her pediatric nursing degree and this obviously uneducated waitress/bartender yelled at my daughter to go find someone call someone to come pay cash so at 4am we are calling my nephew my husband my daughters husband for them to come get us and please pay this bill of a measely $230+. My daughters husband had to drive considerably far distance to pay this bill in cash just for them to allow us to leave!!!! … utterly disgusting behavior of this place and that waitress that makes drinks watered down at that for a living!.. It’s inexcusable to treat people this way especially patrons that were having a difficult time w a bank card thru no fault of their own. You are a establishment that makes money there should be a way for you to withhold a patrons information w out keeping them hostage and yelling at them. We went from ready to leave by 12am and having been kept there til 4am very poorly treated at this place. I will never return and I will never recommend this place to anyone especially anyone I know and I know people with money that’s will drop a lot of bread anywhere they go. The drinks are watered down the food is over priced and mediocre the bathrooms were poorly kept with tampon applicators thrown around the floor and toilet paper. I left a photo of the uneducated and classless waitress separately because I couldn’t find a way to add it to my post just the look on her face will show you how rudely you will be treated stay away from her she’s rude. I never write reviews, but last nights experience was the worst thing ever. Came here to celebrate my best friends birthday the whole party arrived a little after the reservation time and the host was busy talking to some guy who was just chilling by the bar I don’t know if he works there but he seemed like he didn’t. Host was not updating us on our table so we had to continuously ask. we waited around ~30 minutes before we got seated. Waiter came and seemed like she needs training on her toast pos system she refused to take our food order and pushed for us to get drinks and she would come back but we had to essentially beg her to take our food order. Ok music was good it the dj was great and we were having a good time. We ordered another round and danced. My friend got her birthday cake and it was great. Our waiter who we constantly had to flag down and continue to ask for water dropped our check without asking if we wanted anything else and we paid out no issue. My wife order a round of shots because she thought we had to go she paid that out separately and the server brought the shots, she then told us we could stay at the table because there were no more reservations. She never approached us again so we thought it’d be easier to order at the bar.

We got a round there and 20 mins after the guy in the red velvet suit came and said we were mooching around and just sitting there so we had to go because he needed to sell the table to other guest. He then was off the floor for 20 minutes. Because we couldn’t find him we asked the front door host and the bartender if we ordered another round and just hold on to one table we didn’t mind squeezing. That’s when the manager came in full force historically yelling at us physically trying to push us out. He claimed my friend yelled at him but my friend was trying to explain that the girls had already said yes to keeping one table because again they told us they did not have any more reservations.

The way the manager embarrassed us was unacceptable and if you guys as an establishment have him to represent you I would highly recommend reconsidering- the security guard agreed with us and told my wife that the guy is just like that. We finished the round we order and left. I came in exited about exploring this spot since all my friends have been there before and the reviews looked good. If I could give this place zero star I truly would. I am so upset and appalled at the way we were treated last night. I came in with a group of about ten people reserved ahead of time, bringing good business to their restaurant. Not only did they rush us to eat and order but the manager on duty made it his point to become extremely aggressive with one my guests from my party. IDing does not start until 10 and one of my guests did not have her ID on her, nevertheless she could not drink due to a medical condition which she was trying to explain to the on duty manager who seemed extremely unhinged. While my friends were trying to explain that they did not have the ID he began to aggressively speak down on them, step up their faces, and tried to humiliate them in front of the entire restaurant. The bouncer had to intervene because the manager was being so aggressive and close to my friends faces, whom are two women. The bouncer and hostess even apologized to us for what happened, so I’m guessing this isn’t the first time. She went back got it and sat down. DISGUSTED by how a manager for an establishment decided to treat their PAYING customers. That manager also yelled at another table that ordered bottle service and brought great business to them, they were not doing anything wrong. He kept telling anyone he berated last night that he’s the owner and that what he says goes. He treated everyone so so poorly, it was shocking.

The food is mediocre at best, extremely cramped, and very poor communication amongst the staff. We received two wrong orders and had to just stay with our food that was wrong because our time was almost up. They literally kept rushing us and timing us about our 90 minutes which made the experience extremely unenjoyable, I couldn’t even enjoy my food or drink because they would pass by every 20 min to remind you. You can’t even take any nice pictures due the lack of space. This place is not worth the hype at all !! Do not go unless you want to be rush to eat, yelled at, and leave with a few hundred dollars less.

And to the manager of the restaurant last night. You are open and running because of the people, we have all the power to cancel you and shut your place down.
