This daycare tried to have my review removed on yelp. I would not be surprised if they tried to remove this one.
This is not a review that I wanted to write but I feel a need to let other parents know about my experience. I first enrolled my 9 month daughter into this school. I was a first time mom and I didn't know what to expect. I was so blown away by the space. It is simply amazing but as time went on, I started noticing things that I just felt weren't right. First of all the teachers are just here to get college credit. Which means really young students that never had experience taking care of kids. I am not saying that they are not capable. I will say that they are here to get some time under their belt to become a teacher. Which means high turn over. I feel that it's important for a baby or toddler to have the same teacher in order to adapt to the environment. Another thing is that the sleeping space in the same space where the kids play. If one kid wakes up and plays, other kids will wake up. My daughter is a light sleeper and needs a dark room and sound machine. At the end of the day I received a fussy baby home.
This place takes Montessori to another level of individual. In other words whenever my baby got hurt the director would always use the CCTV to look back. This is frustrating. Why isn't a teacher watching over my kid? My baby got hurt three times in one month with a scratch on her eye. I found out through one of the pictures that were uploaded. Three hours later a teacher messages me about what happened. Three hours and no incident report. No apologies. Pickup was usual. They didn't care that my kid got hurt. I mean it's my daughter's eye and this daycare is so far from reasonable price. The answer I received from this place was that we focus on individual play, which means that the babies/toddlers don't play with each other and no one is really watching them.
I also noticed that these teachers really don't watch over my kid. I would received the baby bottle back with so much hair around the nipple. I guess it rolled away and no one cared to give my baby back the bottle. This happened almost every day. The pacifier was also gross when we got it back.
The pictures! WOW! It showed how unhappy my baby was. My baby was crying in every picture. I love the honesty but it really sucks that this place made my baby so unhappy. I really wanted this place to work but it didn't.
Another thing to note is the nap time for toddler is dead set on 12 pm. Can't change it and has to be one nap. Most toddlers drop their second nap around 18 month and may take longer.
My daughter getting constantly hurt at school, the constant changing of teachers and the lack of supervision that my baby had. For the price that this place charges, I would expect a lot more than just a spacious place. It's not like I can provide anonymous feedback. There is camera facing the anonymous feedback box.
I just end up switching to another place that addresses all of...
Read moreI am so grateful for Changing Tomorrow Academy. When my maternity leave was coming to an end, I was very anxious about putting my son in childcare. We contemplated and visited many, many, many daycares and enrolled our son into CTA. The owner and staff have been great partners in aiding my sons development. There is always great communication and a clear set of expectations from the teachers and staff. Having a nurse on site was a major plus and it is wonderful knowing that a trained and certified RN is always there to assist in any matter. The staff at CTA are always available via email or phone and they seem genuinely happy and content being part of the daycare— not to mention how happy my son is when we drop him off and pick him up. Their state of the art technology allows me to always be in the know of what my child is learning, when he’s being fed, changed, and there are pictures uploaded frequently every day! I feel as though I’m with him everyday (that helps any anxious parent). The food is impeccable and I love that I am able to drop by whenever I want to see my son, which is very important to me. The teachers always remember to tell me the smallest details about his day, which brings me so much joy! The most important part is that my son truly enjoys attending this daycare. Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience and I would unreservedly recommend Changing Tomorrow Academy to any parent who is looking for professional, kind, knowledgeable and caring caregivers for...
Read moreAs a new parent it was overwhelming to find a place to care for our child especially when they are so younh. From the first interaction to meeting the team, we felt like our son would be in great hands. Communication is key and the whole CTA team makes sure to communicate with parents and provide all necessary updates. The first time we left our son for the day (he was 4 months old), getting pictures of him and updates regularly helped us with the transition. They care for the kids and we can feel it from the warm welcome each morning and the way our son grows and develops. The teachers and the management are wonderful are working with parents for the wellbeing of the children. They have been great at providing guidance especially when, like us, each milestones is a new journey, we appreciate their support! We were also very impressed with the building that feels very secure and safe. One thing that we do love and that shouldn’t be taken for granted is the diversity within the staff as well as amongst the kids. I love that our son is exposed to different cultures and languages. Our son has a great time, learns with his friends and seems to thrive which we love to see! We highly recommend this school. We couldn’t be more happy to have chosen CTA. They are...
