The only people who deserve a star are the doormen and the maintenance men. The location is good but not worth the price. They bill themselves as a luxury building but still has stock photos on their website. Everything at one point or another had to be repaired because it was falling apart. Unlike other luxury buildings, maintenance doesn't work 24/7 or on the weekends or late afternoons. They do not supply batteries or light bulbs.
Everyone who works in management and leasing are crooks and liars. When we went to sign our lease, the sales staff was pushy and rude. That should have been the first red flag. They didn't allow us to do a walk-through until after we sign the lease because the tenants "just left". They promises to make a bunch of repairs but still have not been repair and when we called the super at the time, Eugene, who shouldn't work with people at all said "They can't fix all these repairs all the time". Isn't that why we pay you rent? If something is broken, you should fix it. The maintenance request sometimes take longer than other buildings we have lived in. Also, they don't send you the lease unless you ask for it. I have learned with this company, unless you ask for something they don't send it. Like the apartment renewal forms, security deposit forms and hold use the service elevators. And even then, it require several emails which go unanswered. If you have any communication with this company and management team, make sure to get it in writing otherwise you will have a tough time getting any answers.
Also, if you have any of the apartment facing the other buildings, during the summer people go up and stay on the roof during odd hours and make tons of noise or blast music (sometimes, during the wee hours of a workday). They don't check IDs of visitors and many of the times people who don't live or aren't visitors are using the facilities which residents pay for.
Bibi, the solo person from management is a malicious and ill-manner woman. In the lease, the security deposit should be sent within 60 days and they literally send the security deposit afterwards. We received it closer to 75 days after our lease ended. And the best part is that she doesn't respond to emails. I would avoid...
Read moreRead moreI lived here for two years, while the apartment itself was centrally located and doormen were nice, Lazerian property management was such a nightmare to deal with. First of all during the pandemic, the gym and pool were closed for 6+ months yet no adjustments were made to the rent. Even when the building gym opened back up the hours were 8-3PM so literally no one who was working could even go to the gym. Secondly, when my roommate had to move back to Austrailia for the last 2 months of the lease and I explained this to the building and offered to pay a lease termination fee to end my lease two months early (DURING A PANDEMIC, mind you), no exceptions were made and I was forced to pay the rent myself for the remaining two months, which is fine because you know what I signed a lease saying I would. Lastly, my security deposit was sent back to me 1 month after I moved out, WITH MY NAME SPELLED INCORRECTLY! When I reached out to the building, they told me I would have to mail this check back or pay a fee and offered me no apology for their mistake. So here I am 3 months out from my move, still with no security deposit returned to me. Highly unprofessional people and terrible experience dealing with the management here. I would advise against living here, there a ton of great buildings in the area...
While I was living here this place was fine. too far from any train. They say just a five minute walk but it isn't. It's 15 minutes. They are good about repairs though, so that is nice.
Upon moving out, I called movers and found someone to move me on a sunday. I let the management know and they told me I am not allowed to move out on weekends unless my lease ends on a weekend. I am only allowed to move out monday-friday 9AM-5PM. This is ridiculous. Now I have to take a day off work to move for no reason.
I rescheduled my movers to monday from 2-5. the management company told me I cannot move out anytime on monday the 30th because the elevator is booked. Even though the 30th was fully booked, they still would not allow me to move monday.
NOW they want to charge me more money to stay in this apt longer and into the next month. They won't let me move out on either of the last two days of the month, and want to charge me to stay into the next month. It is completely unethical and terrible customer service.
Don't stay here. There are so many places in this neighborhood that are so much closer to trains and restaurants and such. And they won't let you move out even when you try.
It is ridiculous. Just look at the Yelp ratings. Nobody has an easy time with...
