City & Terrace Events — Local services in New York

I worked with the City & Terrace team to plan my engagement and surprise engagement party that immediately followed. I don’t know what I would have done without them! The day turned out to be exactly what my fiance and I had always dreamed of.

I told Lauren I wanted to propose in the Financial District and wanted a venue within walking distance, but thought I could just kind of figure it out on the fly. After having a quick call with Lauren, she introduced me to so many questions that I hadn’t considered!

Lauren took that information from those questions and contacted local venues to make sure it met both my vision and needs for the day. We did a site-walk and pointed out all of the logistics of how the day would work.

The day of the big question, Lauren was in communication with attendees of how the surprise was going to work and then with the venue to ensure everything was set up correctly.

The day went smoothly and seamlessly from the location of the proposal to the venue to celebrate with our friends and family!

With Lauren handling all of the logistics and details of how the day ran, I was able to be present in the moment to have one of the best days ever!

We are currently working with City & Terrace to plan our wedding welcome party and rehearsal dinner so we can continue to be in the moment.

My love letter to City and Terrace for the most incredible 40th birthday event beyond my imagination 🩷

While planning, every day I had some new, sometimes off the wall ideas for this party. Turning my vision into a (realistic) reality could have been stressful, but turned out to be fun and magical thanks to Lauren (and Ryan)!

The incredible venue took us from sipping spritz’s on a London rooftop, to cheersing in a big city lounge, to tequila shots and dancing in the Vegas club.

Each detail was special and intentional; allowing me to show my gratitude by incorporating so many things I love for people I love. The gifting wall, a nod to all my sports team through custom cocktails, all my favorite foods (and late night snacks) and the perfectly curated music start to finish for club #ARHouse.

The decor just pulled it all together perfectly in ways I beer would have envisioned without them. The photos and glam booth captured so much joy.

The process was so seamless, if I didn’t know they were based in NYC I would have sworn they were in ATL the whole time!

We worked with the City & Terrace team to set-up a consultation 4-months before our wedding date. We were overwhelmed with all of the logistics. We wanted to customize print items and personal accessories to make them memorable, and we didn’t know where to start. There were also so many additional tasks to juggle, and it was worthwhile to get professional assistance from City & Terrace. They made the planning process much easier, helped up prioritize, and were very attentive to our needs and vision.

Lauren guided us through a detailed process and helped us understand how specific deadlines are needed for each of those items along the way.
