I ordered a birthday bouquet for a family member who was visiting all the way from Africa. I was so excited when I saw on the site that you can include a photo to your gift and this will be free of charge. So I sent a photo of my sister and niece whom my sister is helping to raise just a cute pic since it was free. The bouquet was delivered to the hotel however, there was no picture which I wasn’t upset about even though it was a nice gesture from them but I was annoyed, why put something on your site that you do not offer or at least include up to business discretion so you do not have customers hope of this very cute offer. That wasn’t all now for the real reason for this review. The bouquet was delivered without the birthday note which infuriates me again my niece had came up with a really cute birthday note and that also was not included in the delivery. They ruined an amazing surprise we had for my sister and that’s is unforgivable like how can you not include the Birthday Note. So I called them and the person on the phone confirmed that my note was in the system and was very nonchalant and cold he didn’t seem to care that our surprise was ruined all he said was he can relay the message to their production team for next time (there will be no next time), no accountability or nothing, more like flowers were delivered and that’s your problem. I was so upset with that response! The bouquet itself was ok but missing a crucial step (which is including note) is very tacky and I do not recommend this place.! I did not want to leave a review but this bugged me so much I keep thinking about it and decided to warn others that something like this may happen to them. Read moreI received a flower arrangement “Lisette” from Ode à la Rose yesterday. The flowers were withering and the colors were pale, just like the Halloween white face paint, to say the least. Whoever put this arrangement together has no understanding of the color theory and what a fresh bouquet of flowers should look like!! The arrangement, by no means, comes close to the vibrant color picture on their website and is definitely not worth 82 dollars!!! I buy 15 dollar flower bouquets from Trader Joe’s that look much better!! I called the NY location to complain (which is where the flowers came from) and was asked to send an email with an attached pic, which I did. I then received a response back from Jeff in management telling me that he is having trouble seeing an issue with the bouquet and that the quicksand roses in my bouquet and the carnations are meant to be that color!!! So he suggested that if the bouquet doesn't last 5-7 days with proper care, to send them another email. Which just kicks the problem down the road and leaves me in limbo because who is to say or prove that I took proper care of the flowers! I called again today to follow up and specifically asked to not be transferred to Jeff, but guess what? They put me through to him! I said that I want to return the bouquet and have them refund the person who sent the flowers. Jeff said no and that there is nothing further that they can do!!! Read moreWould have been 0 stars if possible. I ordered the on the website yesterday and specifically contacted customer service stating that if it was possible to have it delivered between 10-12. I know it can't be guaranteed so I asked them to call before if it was out of that period. It should be already known that the reason people want the delivery on a certain day is because it is a special day (with HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the notes). The estimated time was 9am-7pm, I called the location at 8:00 asking what the status was and the rep said "There is an IT issue, and will have to call back" I told him specifically, it is a birthday surprise and I need it to be there, and confirmed 3 times if he was called back today and the answer was YES. After waiting for 30 minutes, I thought maybe I should give it another try and then to hear " OUR WORKSHOP IS CURRENTLY CLOSED"... and of course on the website it still shows "out for delivery"
This ruined the surprise and the reputation of the company (if they cared). Don't promise anything to anyone when things happen. DO NOT give excuses if it can not be delivered on time. Just simply admit to it. Lying to customers about system problems, IT problem, then committing to something that you will not take action on.
