Sugarlift — Attraction in New York

I’ve been a supporter of Sugarlift since its inception, and I love that they’ve created a fascinating way of bringing attention to, supporting, and developing a cutting-edge platform for both emerging and established artists, as well as supporting education and awareness for the arts and making art accessible to people from every walk of life. At the same time, Sugarlift always engages the community and gives back at every step. Their gallery exhibitions as well as their community events and digital events are meant for everyone, and they have a team available to help with everything from how to choose a piece of work from an exhibition to how to hang art in your own home. Follow their IG and their posts will melt your brain...drawings done with a BALLPOINT PEN that look more real than the photos my stupid $500 camera just took...landscapes you get transported into and lost in and are convinced are teleportation devices. We were introduced accidentally to Sugarlift through a friend, and it was such a lucky twist of fate to have the chance to partner with such a fantastic team to help bring extraordinary artwork and energy into our home. Thanks to Hannah and Wright, we were able to get to know a variety of artists, visit studios, and truly get to know the landscape of the art world in a way that we would not have otherwise. We wanted very much to purchase a piece (or pieces) by a young, female artist and we were able to do just that, and found a match that was perfect for us. We are thrilled to have not just beautiful artworks gracing our home, but most of all to have found an artist whose career we feel invested in and whose work we feel proud to display. I’ve enjoyed collecting art for a few years, and I’ve been living in the heart of the Chelsea art district for the past two years. Strangely, I didn’t buy my first piece in Chelsea until a Sugarlift exhibit caught my eye at the Zaha Hadid gallery! They had a beautifully curated exhibit from multiple artists to support a noble charity. I was charmed by the work and quickly chose a piece from the selection that was rapidly being dotted with sold stickers! Liz could not have been nicer, more knowledgeable, nor more supportive in my experience. Incredibly accommodating too! They currently have a number of new exhibits in the Zaha Hadid. I can’t wait to go back...
