Used this company after researching malpractice insurance prices/plans/quotes/etc. Contacted them myself and made all of the arrangements. That part was hassle free (they were very happy to take my money). I, however, will not be renewing my policy as I called last week to ask a question regarding payment options (I had some professional funds I was considering using to cover the cost that were going to "expire" at the end of the month). The first person I spoke with was Steven who stated they did not accept partial payments, which I understand. I explained my situation and he said that they may be able to work something out and transferred me to a higher level representative (without me asking, which i thought was very kind!). I explained my situation to this individual (who had an attitude with me from the beginning of the phone conversation and did not provide her name) and she stated they did not accept partial payments and HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! I was not rude, pushy, condescending... nothing but polite and respectful and she flat out hung up the phone in my ear. I called the customer service number back to talk to a supervisor as I was obviously upset by the situation, only to be put on hold for 15+ minutes and be told no one was available to speak with me. I was assured someone would call me either that afternoon (although I was told it was the end of their day at 3:30 pm cst) and that if I didn't hear from someone that afternoon, I would hear first thing in the morning. Surprise, surprise, I STILL haven't heard anything! The decision to let this policy go unrenewed was simple. I simply had a question about payments. I shudder to think of how it could/would be handled if I had an actual situation where I needed to use my malpractice insurance! Such a horrible experience, especially as the first and only time I have ever contacted them in the 2 years I have been paying my premium.

Read moreI initially was excited about the insurance offerings and the discount for new practitioners - even more so when I saw that their Superior A++ rating from A.M.Best. My communications with the group was ok until I had a question about one of my policies. I called and got one answer and then emailed back and got a totally different answer from someone else. This could have been because I didn't communicate my questions correctly but I started to have worries then. I felt that my questions were always answered in the briefest way possible and there was no interest in making sure I understood or assuring that my question was answered completely. I, ultimately, ended up cancelling my policy due to it not meeting the requirements of my lease agreement. I cancelled on August 29th. No one ever followed up with me and I have still not seen the refund on my credit card (as of 9/15/17). I am very disappointed in the service I've received and felt no one took an interest in my needs as a customer. I think sometimes insurance companies forget that the customers they are working with have limited knowledge about the industry and might need more information and a little understanding. Read moreI’ve been with CM & F since I became a nurse 20 plus years ago. I’ve been renewing my annual professional liability insurance through a bank’s Bill payment online. For coverage 10/14/23-10/14/24, my bank mailed them a check of $129 to PO Box 4040, Southeastern, PA 19398. The check got cleared on 10/17/23. However, last week, I got a bill from CM &F for another $129, so I emailed, questioned them and sent them an proof of payment from my bank and made multiple phone calls, but to no avail, the supervisor Andrea said that it did not get into their PO Box and there is nothing they can do but for me to pay them AGAIN! I’m basically placed in the middle of this issue since it was set up as an online Bank’s Bill payment, but none of them (the Bank and CM&F) wanted to take any responsibility of my lost money.
