Mistura Peruana #3 — Restaurant in New York

We had such a delicious spread amongst seven foodie adults (one a vegetarian) and a toddler. Unfortunately, we were so hungry that we all forgot to take pictures before devouring all the food. We ordered Ceviche de pescado, Anticuchos, rachicucho, tallarin verde w/ skirt steak, arroz chaufa, the whole chicken w/ yuca fries, beans, arroz, maduros and salad, and completed our meal with tres leches. The ceviche was so fresh and so well marinated. The entire order was so delicious that we only had about a quarter of the arroz chaufa and a quarter of the chicken leftover to take home. Everything was portioned generously and was so delicious. I almost forgot to mention that I could and would drink their green sauce and yellow sauce without hesitation. So delicious! The service was great. We received just the right amount of attention where they don't hover over you, but are readily available when you need something. The entire order was less than $200 including tax and an inclusive gratuity of 18%. Will definitely be returning for more...

We was excited to have Peruvian food which never disappoints, it’s always so flavorful and delicious. Wanted to find a new Peruvian restaurant, was sold on the banner saying “ authentic Peruvian food” We order quarter chicken, rice n beans, salad, and …. The food was a huge disappointment, the rice taste and looked like it came out of a box, the beans look like they were made out of Campbell can, and never the less the food was bland. I ordered 2 whole chickens from them which was like $30+, and the chicken was still a little raw on the inside. There was no one in the place, you have no other customers, so why not make sure the chickens are cooked all the way thru? The pieces of chicken we were able to eat were not as flavorful as I'd hope. I've had Peruvian chicken before and this was not doing it for us. Where was the flavor? Thirty something bucks for not all the way cooked, not well seasoned Chicken? I...
