cutes house — Local services in New York

my best friend and i came on a chilly friday evening 2 hours before closing. i think the chilly weather was on our side because i heard it’s usually really busy here. i genuinely think their prices are beyond reasonable and so good for new york city. they have a whole wall of charms and little pearls that you can add on to your customized item. my best friend and i chose mirrors because we already had protective otterbox phonecases.

there were two ladies working the front restocking the store with new cute charms— they were so so nice and so patient. they have a very cat in the store (in case you guys may be allergic). i can’t wait to come back again with my little cousins. such a lovely, quaint place. it was $40 for my mirror! (tip: pay in cash! no tax)

we finished exactly at 8pm (closing). we never felt any pressure or rush. the lovely ladies were so so nice! they even gave us free customized hair pins as a Christmas gift. thank you so much! we will be back...

They do not tell you the price before tufting the bag.

When asked for the price, the guy by the counter said it was cheap and doesn’t cost much but didn’t say how much it was. The girl next to him didn’t say anything. They basically dodged the question.

Then they hit us with the $300 price tag when the bag is finished. They told us that if we write a review and share it through social media, the price will drop down to $280.

What kind of store doesn’t tell the customers the price???

Save yourself money and buy your own equipment or go buy a designer bag instead!!

Very cute and small shop and the owner is extremely nice. The cat is so friendly and soft and overall it was a great and calming experience! When we were finishing up a bunch of people started coming in but she never rushed us. There are hundreds of little charms and decorations to use and no maximum on how many can you use. There are tools you can use to decorate and there is a table in the front and a bigger one in the back with placemats for groups! She sells drinks and collectibles as well. Overall a 10/10 and we hope to come back next year for new...
