I can't say enough about Dr. Caponigro. I injured my left ankle in June, and I was seeing another ankle specialist who, after taking an MRI, told me I probably needed surgery. But instead of doing surgery, he just kept giving me anti inflammatory pills, and sending me for therapy, even though I complained that the therapy made me feel worse. This went on for almost three months, and then my family doctor suggested I see Dr. Caponigro for a 2nd opinion. After he read the MRI report, and examined me, Dr. Caponigro suggested surgery. And he didn't even insist on it. All he said was "If I was treating you, this is what I would do." There was no pressure at all. He described the surgery in detail, using diagrams, and a model of an ankle to show me exactly what he was going to do. He also gave me a booklet to take home that described the surgery in detail. I was never left in the dark. He answered every question I had, and always made me feel comfortable. Thanks to Dr. Caponigro, I had the surgery two weeks ago, and I'm on the road to recovery. He's a compassionate man who puts his patients' best interests at heart, and makes you feel like your his friend instead of his patient. He even called me at home after the surgery to make sure I was okay. His assistant, Regina compliments his practice. She's a warm, caring woman who makes you feel comfortable, and just like Dr. Caponigro, she puts the patients' interests first, and treats them with kindness and respect. I highly recommend Dr. Caponigro for any foot or ankle problems you may have.. You...
Read moreI had an ankle arthroscopy with Dr. Caponigro. Aside from how smart and informed he is, he was able to identify the issue and provided multiple options to address the issue of which I felt surgery was best. He answered what I would call "an avalanche of questions." He was patient with me and helped me decide the best option based on future goals; I visited several times months apart while I was deciding what to do and he was always ready to answer my questions and didn't rush me. He and his staff ensured I had regularly scheduled follow ups to heal post-op and checked in with me. One thing you can be sure of is this doctor's #1 priority is your health and wellbeing. I've never been surprised or stuck with a bill. I never had to wait extended periods of time to see him. I didn't even have to think about those things- he never made me worry about anything. And when you are done healing and ready to get back on your feet he will make sure you do that, he won't keep you in any unnecessary visit loops. Also there's a lot to be said about Dr. Caponigro's staff: also very nice and always professional. One of his main staff is Regina, she is always positive and upbeat and returns your calls if she misses your call. Not sure if it gets any better. Believe me he and his staff are the best, I spent ages looking for an ankle surgeon and I am very happy with...
Read moreDr. John Caponigro is a Godsend. Doctor did the surgery on my ankle 8 weeks ago and it’s healing as expected. Thank GOD!!! He’s well informed, extremely knowledgeable, knew exactly where and what the problem was. Gave me options of therapy. But at the end I decided to move forward with the surgery. He’s always reachable when I had a question before and after the surgery. He treats his patients as human beings with respect and he’s very caring. Unlike nowadays all specialists sees their patients as $$$ sign. I have been skeptical for over 10 years in to getting this surgery done, and finally I was able to with the trust and support from Dr. Caponigro. His staff (Regina) is a sweet heart. They all go above and beyond to help and address any issues or requests. They never turn the patients away. They’re very respectful and understanding. Please whoever is looking into getting any sort of foot surgery, I’d highly recommend to visit Dr. Caponigro’s office for a consultation. You won’t regret it!!! Thank...
