Today I want to make my wife happy and surprise her with a pampering day. So not an easy task when your wife is the beauty queen of LIC,only that she never gets the time to take care of herself. Because my skills in performing a treatment myself are definitely too low to fulfill my wife’s high standards, I needed to find ananother solution. As usual my first reflex was to ask yelp for any places nearby that I thought that would make sense. As far as I am concerned I always prefer to advantage stores outside Manhattan, because it is how I see life in LIC and being a part of the 5 boroughs. And believe it or not I found a little nice cute spa, not in Manhattan or any type of super fancy Spas anywhere else, but Elizabeth’s Skincare salon in Forrest Hills! Why? Very simple because Elizabeth belongs to the last old school real professionals in the industry. She is originally from Poland and the first minute you meet her you understand that beauty has been her only life purpose since her birth. I am personally really impressed how she can still be so enthusiastic after all these years to make people feeling special and beautiful The place is like a short trip to Europe: Everything is simple and tasteful, at the front desk Agatha makes you feel welcome and even for a man she will try to explain you any type of treatments they are offering (well in that case I guess I should not mention my wife’s credentials) but anyway thank you for that. I was lucky that Elizabeth was just coming out with her client and she was so full of life and ultimately convinced me that it was the right place to buy a gift certificate for my wife. My wife called a week after to make an appointment and she loved it.
