So many complaints about our afternoon driver. Most families at our school have removed their kids from the bus because of the driver we were assigned. We have complained to Empire, even our school staff has complained, and nothing is done. The driver had the nerve to come at us saying that we can't get rid of her because there is a driver shortage. Wow.
Our kids don't feel safe with her and my daughter cries if she has to take the afternoon bus because she's the last one off, and alone with the woman for 15-20 mins and gets harassed every day to answer personal questions even after saying she has a headache and doesn't want to talk.
We don't have the luxury of not using the bus! Our kids deserve a safe driver!! Empire State bus company refuses to hear our complaints or do anything about it.
Here is a short list of some of the things we have experienced. She swears while driving Catholic elementary kids, they've seen her smoking a vape pen, she yells at school staff and parents - in front of the kids, has displayed unstable behavior, like following me arguing and trying to engage me driving slowly with the bus door open, keeping pace with me and my daughter as we are walking home with her yelling at us saying that there WAS bus service the next day (Yom Kippur, and there was not), and she has all of our personal information, but we don't even know her last name - scary. And thats only for them being on time when they actually do come ! They told me pickup time was 8am , they said come down between 730 and 8š i sent my son down 745 they came 750 or close to it all week and now a new week and they are here at 720 telling me pick up time is now 730 and we should be downstairs by 720 and i wouldnt have known they were here and left if i didnt call the company to find out where the bus was . So unprofessional and it drives me crazy in the morning trying to figure out if my child will make it to camp or school because his bus company does not have proper communication...

I would call the company asking what time does the bus arrive and they would tell me the bus already came when i have been outside waiting the bus never showed, when i tell them that is not true they say i shouldāve been outside when i already was waiting outside for over 30 mins they never gave me a pick up or drop off time so Iām suppose to just guess what time the bus shows up terrible company if i could give it any lower i would.
