overcharged for my services. I struggle with acne and acne scarring, I was suggested the rf microneedling and Agnes laser treatment. I was charged $1000 for one session. Normally, I do my research but I’m not sure why I didn’t that day and I just sort of went for it (must’ve been my desperation as my skin concerns were really starting to get to me.) the treatment was also extremely painful and I’m someone with really high pain tolerance. I might not have been numbed properly, I’m not sure. Even the extractions that I got later were extremely painful, she’s not gentle at all. I’ve gotten extractions and microneedling done before at other places and I’ve never felt that type of discomfort.
I wasn’t aware of the tipping. I’m from CT so I’ve been to spas near me but never to one in NYC. I’ve never been asked to tip in the spas in CT. After my session, they gave me a receipt and I tipped quite low. Not because of issues with the staff but because I wasn’t expecting to spend that much money in one day and I also didn’t understand the point of tipping as we are technically paying for the service. However, as soon as I left they reached out showing concerns for low tipping, so make sure you have $20 or more than you spend on your sessions every time you visit.
The next time I had an appointment, I was driving from CT to NY again which is 2 hours for me. Got stuck in traffic and I was 30 minutes out so I called to make sure I’d still be able to come. I got there and found that the address was wrong and they asked me to come back the next day saying that if I didn’t make it to the appointment they’d charge me. I felt that it was rude considering that I wasn’t really at fault. Their address is different on maps compared to what it is on text reminders. I went through maps and it took me to a different location. So I drove 4 and half hours on the day of my appointment and then again the next day which was quite exhausting. If you’re going from a place that’s further just double check the address on both platforms.
Lastly, I also always feel a sense of pressure to buy something when I’m there. One of the items I was suggested was a $60 serum for acne. Turns out it’s just a soothing serum that helps with inflammation but I was told that it would help with future breakouts and the scarring.
Also, I wasn’t told what to expect after my session of rf microneedling (which I’m now finding out isn’t really effective for acne and acne scarring, it is more effective for skin tightening). I woke up the next day seeing black dots all over and I wasn’t sure what that was so I began to freak out. They also don’t talk you through the process so if you’re used to that it’s another thing to...
Read moreI had a series of treatments about a year ago here that were custom designed according to my needs and it was fantastic. Mainly, I wanted to address signs of aging (fine wrinkles, especially around the eyes) and after the first few treatments, all of my friends noticed how youthful and radiant I looked. Also, everyone at the office was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had two people treat me, including Eunyoung Park and their precision use of their hands and expertise were the best I ever experienced. Also, the variety of machines they had to focus on for specific issues was extraordinary. It was so great that I referred my mom to get her own customized treatments. Also, I was given advice on how to take care of my skin in between treatments and when I didn't, Eunyoung noticed right away. In the end, I was extremely satisfied and doing my own proper maintenance makes me look like I had a treatment that day. I don't see any aging issues since and my fine wrinkles are so improved that I barely even notice them even a year later. I definitely plan on going back for future treatments as I grow older and if I see any more issues to address. Thank you to everyone at the office and I wrote my review later than I planned but it gave me a year to see...
Read moreI almost feel like I got scammed . I go to med spas for services all the time. There are high end places, in Manhattan, with fda cleared machines that you can google and find information on that charge less then what I was charged here . Will never return and will not recommend. It’s upsetting to say this because I never write a review, however 550$ for a treatment performed with a machine that I can’t find any information on is just not ok. My skin doesn’t look any different. I wish I just stuck with the places I normally go to. Before you commit to a treatment here, ask questions and Google what’s being done to you , don’t wait until after like me and leave with skin that looks the same and 600 less dollars in your pocket. Outrageous! I direct messaged the company in Korea that makes this laser to ask questions and I found it. I won’t share what they said because I don’t want to start any problems, but believe me when I say this is not a treatment that’s worth 550$ not even on the best day! Very, very upsetting...
