Never in a million years did I anticipate other people experiencing the same issue as me, but I stand corrected! This store has a "Wall of Fame," which posts photos of all the people who have stolen from the store. Seeing that this store caters to the Asian community, it would make sense that they are frequented by members of the Asian community, and as such, if there are incidents of theft, the thieves would mostly be Asian. The "Wall of Fame," indicates that this is the case, a majority of their thieves are women, and Asian.
Someone explain to me why my friend and I were tailed around the store for the entire time we were shopping there? It was ridiculous, at first I anticipated they wanted to make sure we had our questions answered, but no, this was not the case. Two employees would follow us, aisle to aisle, acting as if they were rearranging items and restocking shelves, they were not. For context, my friend and I are both non-Asian PoC. What made this even more ridiculous is that we spent almost $100 in the store and wanted to spend a couple more minutes checking out the figurines by the front of the store on our way out, guess what, still tailed.
It is ridiculous that these employees are so blinded by racism and prejudice that they drop everything they're doing to make sure non-Asian PoC aren't allegedly stealing. Maybe if they spent the same amount of time policing indiscriminately they wouldn't have to deal with so many incidents of theft.
P.S. If you guys (the TESO Life employees) are reading this, my friend is a lawyer, and I'm a real estate investor. We wouldn't steal $8 Kit Kats if our lives...
Read moreI was completely impressed with Annie & Siqi’s professionalism and their customer service in the middle of August when I went to the store, TESO LIFE. Located in Bayside, NY. With my sister and my mother for the first time, to see what the store was about. We left very happy and purchased some face creams for my sister and a couple of hand creams and lipstick for my mother and me.
I came back by myself in mid-October to NY and wanted to visit the store for more face creams this time for aging skin and I met Azure. What a wonderful lady. Her positive attitude, recommendations, and willingness to go the extra mile for me as a customer are very much appreciated.
Azure: You demonstrated excellent product knowledge during my second visit to the store which helped me as a customer feel confident with my purchase. Thank you so much for all of your help As well at the register I also met Bei-Bei &Liao, who were very nice.
Thanks a million, Azure, it's been 3 weeks and I am in love with all the face creams you recommend to me. My face feels very nice....
Read moreThis is a fun & interesting store to visit. It seems like they have a good amount of K-Beauty products. This Teso location is clean, well stocked & organized.
All of the workers here are so nice. Since I can't read the labels, I rely on them to help. Big shout-out to Asha (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She's my go-to girl when I walk in. During my very first trip to this store, she was one who helped me, so whenever I stop by I always look for her.
Their prices are reasonable & from time to time they do have a few items on sale.
Be sure to check out their for food isle for interesting...
