A little background before I write my review about Ubliss - I had a horrible experience with Fraxel from another spa that left me with melasma across both my cheekbones and partially on the forehead. Before this treatment, I would say that I had relatively clear skin except for some minor freckles that were easily removed with IPL, etc. Since then, I tried so many treatments to get rid of this melasma that was the bane of my existence. Tried multiple rounds of microneedling (left me looking a bloody mess and swollen for days after), toning lasers, tranexamic acid injections, hydroquinone cream, etc.

Then I read an article about Sylfirm X, an RF Microneedling technology proven to be effective against melasma. I searched high and low for a spa that would offer this procedure, but was unsuccessful until someone referred me to Ubliss. I booked an appointment with Stella right away and felt at ease immediately. Not only is she very knowledgeable, but also very accomodating and has a way of making you feel like you've known her for a long time. She stressed that she would also perform procedures that were FDA approved. It also helped that she's a young woman that clearly takes great care of herself - to me, a woman knows best what makes another woman feel good when she looks in the mirror. I opted for the Sylfirm X package of 3 and started my first session that very same visit. I met with Lea, who proceeded to apply numbing cream on me.

I have to tell you - even with my high tolerance for pain, I had a rough time with Sylfirm X. But I think it's because Lea was soooo thorough and made sure that every inch of my face and neck was covered. Not only that, she did multiple passes. From what I've read in my research, I think most technicians would do a single pass. Lea really takes her time and adjusts the procedure to target your areas of concern. She's also very personable and you can just tell that she's a great person.

Even though the procedure is painful, when they say no pain, no gain is true because I definitely do see that my melasma has improved and I'm now able to cover it much easier whereas in the past I would have to apply foundation and multiple layers of concealer and you can still see the melasma clearly. Not only that, my face is tighter and smoother. Melasma is one of those conditions that cannot be eradicated, but with this procedure I do see that it may be possible to keep it at bay. I will be returning for additional sessions of Sylfirm X and I was also recommended Aerolase laser for toning that would provide synergistic effects. After two visits to UBLISS and receiving the treatments, the scar that I thought would remain permanent has actually begun to heal. After each session, the scarred area became ticklish, a physical indication of the growth of new skin. Then in the following weeks, the area became noticeably consistent in level and coloration with the rest of my facial skin. I must review my experience at UBLISS. Usually, I do not like to review but the owner Stella and the therapist Ella Yun helped me to relax my tense body and mind. I was exhausted and did not sleep that day. When I opened the door at UBLISS, oh my god, I felt so good because Stella and Ella welcomed me with warm smiles and the place is so beautiful and elegant atmosphere. Ella took me to her room for 1-hour massage and 1-hour facial. I said " wahoo" because her room was so elegant and had beautiful fragrances. She kindly introduced aroma oil and politely explained the procedure. When I faced down for the massage, I smelled a beautiful Lavender fragrance. She did an amazing full-body massage! She did not expose my private area and so smoothly massaged and nicely strong pressure, Whatever her point deep tissue massage, I felt exactly I needed that point!!! I truly enjoyed her amazing 1 - hour massage! Then I had a wonderful new-style Korean anti-aging facial! It was also amazing! She cleaned my face with a special machine, I am not sure what was it but I felt so good! no hurt no rough, just a beautiful massage and cleaned my face! She gave me TWO BEAUTIFUL FACE MASKS!
