Ive been going to Cut Above since it opened . Bruno always cut my hair n did a beard/goatee trim whenever I needed it. Most always he would do an excellent job. Unforfortunately early Spring my schedule changed n I could no longer get there off hrs as I once did. Whenever I was able to get there when my new hrs permitted, even if I booked an appt there would usually be someone who would be waiting to go after me. I could tell this made Bruno anxious n he started making my haircut a rush job. I really don't mind getting out very quickly but, sadly it changed the nice job I would once get into now getting all chopped up. After this happened 3 consecutive times I decided to find someone else. After a couple months I saw Bruno outside the shop n we started talking. He asked where I was now getting my haircut. I told him n I explained to him y I switched haircutters. After this I would often pass the shop n wave. Fast forward now a few more months, I happened to be walking by the shop n I saw Bruno was free n the place was quiet. I thought to myself, let me try Bruno again... I stuck my head in giving a polite hello n said "Hi Bruno Id like my haircut" With his head down he rudely brushed me off saying he wasn't available. It was quite obvious he wasn't going to cut me because I was honest about how I felt about his rush job haircuts in the past. This is so silly to me. I would think haircutters would be used to people using different haircutters now n then n would appreciate honest feedback from their clients. Apparently that's not the case with this guy n too bad because life is too short to hold grudges over something...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to get my 2 kids haircuts here for the past 3 years. Rose is amazing and it's too bad the owner is rude and does not understand how to be in a kid friendly neighborhood with customer service. I called ahead to bring my 2 kids to get a hair cut. We were exactly 4 minutes past the time we were given. 4 minutes with a 6 and 4 year old is well within a grace period of waiting for clients. Upon entering, we were told very rudely (in front of my children) that we were late and took someone else. We were told to return in 30 min. So, my babysitter made sure to return on time and after waiting 15 minutes, and not even being acknowledged, I called to speak to Bruno. When he answered I said hello and I was replied with a very angry "yeah Speak!".. I explained that my kids were waiting and asked when they would be seen, esp since we were not taken on time for being 4 min late.. I was rudely yelled at for being late and told that he didn't have time to argue and abruptly hung up on me. If you have a business in a child friendly neighborhood, being mindful of your service to paying customers and young kids is not only professional but the decent way to serve. Kindness and accommodating your clients is how to treat people. We supported you during the pandemic early on to make sure small businesses such as yours still had business. You have permanently lost 2 clients that could have been going here for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve lived in the neighborhood for 2 years but somehow never gotten a haircut here beforeā¦but I finally went and it was lovely! I called about 20 minutes ahead on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to seat me as soon as I walked in the door. Damien was my stylist and he was wonderful! He listened to my wants and made additional suggestions that resulted in a great haircut. He had a gentle hand and was very organized and methodical in his cutting, which I really liked. I have no reason to get a haircut anywhere else now, because to find a womenās haircut for under $50 that is quick (I was in and out in less than 45 mins with wash, cut, and dry) and cute is next to impossible, let alone finding one a block from my apartment! Thank you, Cut...
