HOT PICK optometry office and glasses store within Flushing Area. I passed by Eyeview Optical few times when I was on my way to work, and was attracted by the interior decoration. I have a chance today to walk into the store, and also plan to get a new pair of glasses. Staffs were a bit busy. But a girl walk to me soon and ask how she can assist me with anything today. She's so friendly and gentle. I think her name is Wayne or Winnie. However, I told her my prescription is high, about -7.00 for both eye with -1.00 astigmatism. I thought I will have really few selections due to my poor prescription. I guess she's a pro, she provides me with varieties of frame selections and lens choice. I am extremally satisfied with her service. And she has a very stylish taste, the frames she picked for me were hit me on the right spot. Although, I didn't get a new pair today, because I want to make some comparisons. But highly likely I will back to this store, and definitely will recommend this place to all my friends. TOP pick within flushing Area. And thank you so much for your help...
Read moreI am very happy that I went to this place. Before I went to this place, I went to several different optical stores. Prices here were much better without compromising the quality and plus had 30% discount on frames. Even when I compared prices on prescription glass, their price without discount was 110 dollars cheaper than the first place I went in Astoria, Queens. Place in Astoria was going to charge me 450 dollars (without the frame) for prescription glass that is corrective lenses, glare and scratch proof coat, and transitional (clear glass becomes dark in sunlight) etc. This place quoted me only 340 dollars for that exact same thing. Someone like me who has to pay 100% out of pocket, that difference is my whole weeks grocery.
The place is super sanitised and the people are extra helpful. Definitely recommend this place...
Read moreUnreliable Google Rating! They don't deserve this score!
I visited this store a few years ago when it first opened, and at that time, I would have given it a 5.0 rating. However, my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I would now rate it 1 star. Therefore, don't trust their so-called high score of 4.7; those ratings are from previous customers.
Today, I went back to the store because I accidentally sat on my glasses, causing the frame to become uneven and the lenses to stick out of the frame. Before leaving my house, I cleaned my glasses with a fabric and water to ensure they looked presentable for the repair. I inspected them thoroughly and there were no visible scratches.
I didn't feel any discomfort while wearing the glasses as I walked on the street. However, when I arrived at the store, the owner was absent, and a staff member assisted me with the repair, which took only a few minutes. They charged a small service fee, which I was fine with, and I even gave them a tip as I was satisfied with the service.
The store had bright lighting, which is why I didn't notice any issues initially. It was only after I walked outside for a while that I noticed white spots in my vision caused by the scratches. I returned to the store to inquire about it, but they denied any responsibility, claiming that they used a fabric to protect the glasses during the repair, so there shouldn't be any scratches.
However, I am certain that the scratches were caused when they forcefully inserted the lenses back into the frame using tools. You can try taking off your own glasses and see for yourself that fingernails cannot create such scratches unless you use tools, just like they did.
If consumers come across this review, I strongly advise do not visit this store And if the business owners happen to read this review, do you really think I would intentionally create scratches just to scam you for a lenses replacement that costs less than a hundred...
