I have a nail tech that I’m faithful to but she’s on maternity leave at the moment so a friend of mine sent me a Tik Tok of this place and so I decided to try . NOW IM TORN!!! I loved this place !! I had Miki work on my hands and I had a different tech work on my pedi ( I wish I would’ve gotten her name!) . Everyone is so nice !!!! They offer you water and snacks . The place is small and it’s located in the basement of Busy Mall on Main Street in Flushing. You gotta walk in and head towards the back before you see the stairs going down and it’s the salon on the left hand side. Also , I called to see if they had same day appointments and luckily they had a spot . While I was there, 3 ladies walked in to see if they could get their nails done but they didn’t have any space , so ladies book ahead of time and keep your appointment!!! I showed Miki a few fall nail inspo pics and she delivered ! Heads up , it’s $10 per nail for design . They take cash , Venmo , credit , PayPal but if you pay cash you don’t pay the extra fee. I paid around $170 plus tip . That was for my gel pedicure with 1 color and my gel x filling with 3 nails replaced and 4 fingers with design. I can’t remember the breakdown . Because I was seen later than my appointment time , I was given a discount out of courtesy. The only thing that I have to “complain “ about is that I feel my cuticles could’ve been cleaned up some more. I’m really fussy about that . I’m used my usual tech clean them up really well at the beginning of mani and removing alot of cuticles. Here it was towards the end and it wasn’t as much as I would’ve liked . Again , that’s just me . I’m just very particular about that . I had gone to a different salon previously and I had the same complaint. Miki showed patience , professionalism, kindness and she was sweet. Also , many colors to choose!!! My pedi tech was also great . Delicate , neat , and clean. She was also very sweet . This is my second time coming to Swizzy Beauty Bar, and they did not disappoint. At first i got extensions with gel, they were able to perfectly remove that and give me an amazing gel polish without any damage to my natural nails. I am trying to grow them out so I am so thankful. The polish is so good and last so long. It’s now two weeks since I got my red gel polish and it is still so shiny and without any chips. They are located downstairs from the main mall entrance, that was my only mishap when looking for them but otherwise I’m so grateful I found this nail salon. This is my new go-to spot! Highlight recommend. They are so talented and caring for your preferences and making your nails great. I believe Jing might have been my first salonist and Miki did these red nails. I wish I could give 1/2 of a star! I was looking for a place to do my UV fill in, google has great reviews of this place and it's services. Reviews say it's very welcoming etc. I walked in and the proverbial record skipped and stopped! O guess they are very welcoming to anyone not of brown skin! They immediately told me they had no availability. Which under normal circumstances as a walk in I would have no issue with, but the cold stares as if I walked into a time warp, gave me pause about getting nails done under that kind of energy. So needless to say I did not get nails done here nor will I a attempt in the future ! Discrimination is at an all time high now! #dobetter
