4/28/2023: Got my nipples pierced and Sam was very thorough about instructions on aftercare. He was super professional and patient. I overheard that he has been in business for about 28 years, I think, and it shows. It was not painless because, seriously, c'mon it's the second most sensitive part of my body lmao. But it WAS quick and I really appreciate that. He talked me through it and talked me down when I tensed up. Nipples are $45 each (including jewelry) and the aftercare solution is $8. My cousin got her septum pierced and that cost $50 (i think, and that also includes jewelry). I will definitely go back to him for any future piercings. He knows his stuff! 10/10 I will be recommending him to everyone! 🩵

Update (today, 8/14/2024): Sam has no idea what he's doing. I now have a piercing lady where I live that educated me on the importance of going to a piercer that knows what they're doing, she's in Connecticut, but if you're ever in the area and need a piercing... Then head over to Luna Piercing & Fine Jewelry in Rockville, Connecticut. Laura saved these two piercings.

Anyways, Sam used incorrect jewelry. The jewelry was too long and too thin, so it would cut into my raw skin and get caught on literally anything, even if I was wearing a shirt. It took me a year to fix it, after moving to Connecticut. But do not go here. Sam can't be trusted with sizing his jewelry to fit fresh piercings correctly.

Before moving to Connecticut and going to Luna Moth, I was visiting my mom in Wayne, NJ and tried to fix it at Pleasurable Piercings. The person who attempted to fix it gave me a thicker bar for my nipples but never changed the length. It wasn't until months later, I finally got the correct sized jewelry and could take a deep sigh of relief that there would be no more bleeding from them getting irritated.

Learn from my mistakes: • do not skimp out on a good piercer just because it's too expensive because you'll end up paying more for it in the end. • do not go to a flea market piercer, even if they don't use piercing guns • do your research!!!

Very disappointed. I am not new to piercings but I wanted a nose piercing. I drove all the way to Flushing because of the great google reviews at this place and my regular shop moved all the way to Brooklyn.

I walked in there and everything was going great. Sam told me about the process with his minty fresh breath and how to take care of a nose piercing. I was brimming with excitement that I would finally have my nose pierced. Then his phone rang. After a few minutes on the phone he pierced my nose....and it didn't work, he pierced it a second time and it still didn't work. He attempted to try a third time but I was already traumatized. "No!" I exclaimed. That was my sign not to do it, now I have a hole in my nose and would have to seek another piercer.

Sam told me my nose was too thick 😂 and this never happened to him before. He also said he does about 3 nose piercings a day. I didn't even know noses could be thick like rhino skin. Waste of time.

At least he didn't attempt to charge for services he couldn't do. He was very nice otherwise and told me I could get a free piercing anywhere else or a raincheck for the nose piercing. No thank you. I would not like to go 2 or 3 more rounds for a nose piercing to stick. Just so disappointed 😔

Update: Today August 10th 2019, I went to NYC ink in the village. The owner, ironically another Sam... pierced my nose in 5 minutes or less... No problems and very minimal pain just me being traumatized I thought it would be worse. I would definitely recommend NYC ink, more expensive but no headaches or...

I always believe that Sam is a pillar to the community ! So many of us have gone to him over the years knowing we’d get the piercing we’ve wanted for a while, safely, affordably and (almost) painlessly. Sam pierces so precisely and quickly, I’ve gotten piercings done elsewhere that took longer and have hurt a lot more. I’ve gotten 6 piercings from Sam’s Silver Image over the last 7 years and recently went to get my forward helix for my birthday a few days ago and it was amazing as always. All my piercings have healed perfectly and I can’t wait to heal this one I appreciate buying the after piercing solution right in the store rather than using soap or making an accurate saline solution myself. Also it’s important to point out how incredible Sam’s placements are ! My ears look perfectly curated and all the piercings are spaced out perfectly. I couldn’t have been happier and you don’t need to spend a minimum or book an appointment and give your credit card information like other places to get the piercings you want done perfectly.
