Family Food Center — Local services in New York

This dingy bodega steals mail. They're supposed to be a UPS pickup center (how they achieved that I'll never understand) but after looking at the tracking info that tells me that someone signed my package in and was waiting for me, they tell me it never came. I call UPS whom calls them and they then claim that the person that signs in packages and processes pickup doesn't arrive until 2pm so they have to check back then to see if the package is there. I then go over at 2:30 and the guy then tells me that they haven't had anyone that signs in packages for months and that the UPS driver came yesterday and picked up all the packages they had. Except if that were true, the package would have been scanned again saying "out for delivery" or something of the sort. I now just got off the phone with UPS again and now they're physically sending a driver to pick up my package that's supposedly there to have it delivered to my door. This place clearly took my package if this guy is giving three different accounts of what's going on. The guy at the counter was also rude and was eating a piece of hard candy the entire time he was talking to me. This place is a dump with rude employees that apparently enjoy...

Stopped by to see Ocky. Man has a big heart and really shows that he cares about his customers. I asked for his favorite and this is what I got. Not really sure what the sandwich was comprised of but it was good. Looks like mozzarella sticks, some greens, bacon, and some rice. Was banging. Kind of expensive at about twenty dollars but this is a sandwich you could make two meals out of. Really cool to meet Ocky. If you're in town, it's worth checking out for the loaded sandwiches and wild customer requests. If it's in the store he'd probably throw it on the grill for ya. Man is having a lot of fun with it and it's great to see the success. Only thing is you might have to wait a little. Was busy when I was there around lunch on a Sunday. The area is very sketchy and is the projects with many dangerous stoners and thieves. The line was also really long and waited for over an hour. At the end, it was a total scam since the sandwiches were $23 dollars EACH even though it said 5 on the board just because they were "the ocky way". Would not recommend.
