Fell Flowers — Local services in New York

I got my mother a flower arranging class as a gift for the holidays at Fell Flowers. I shopped all over NYC to find a flower arranging class, but Laura's unique arrangements drew me in, and her class was extremely affordable. This class delivered, and then some, and Laura is amazing!

The shop was gorgeous, and Laura was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We got to know each other a bit before getting started (it ended up being a private class, just the three of us), and then we jumped right in. Laura's instruction wasn't your typical cookie-cutter, here-are-the-rules teaching. Instead, we discussed nature, theory, and what makes an arrangement look average or artistic.

Laura demonstrated first and explained each step of her arrangements in great detail. She answered our questions as we moved along and would thoughtfully critique us as we began to build our arrangements. She was extremely generous with the flowers themselves, even letting me pick a premium flower because I loved it so much.

Overall, we learned so much and I can honestly say I walked away with the confidence that I can put together a beautiful arrangement from a bunch of Trader Joe's flowers. Our arrangements from that day were easily two of the most beautiful bunches of flowers my mom and I have ever brought home.

Laura is one of my favourite artists and so it’s no surprise that her arrangements are also my favourite, completely spectacular, unexpected, and so very charming. Her shop completes this lovely street! When you work with her you work with someone who loves and lives in the neighbourhood, grows so much of every bouquet in her backyard farm a couple blocks away, and is always building relationships with likeminded suppliers of florals and beautiful things that go along with it. She will always remember you and you will always leave with someone so so stylish, definitely like nothing else, and absolutely something that raises the bar for all your future bouquets....

Fell Flowers is a neighborhood gem! I enlisted Fell Flowers to make the arrangements for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and they were absolutely beautiful. Additionally, Laura, the owner, goes above and beyond to give you good value and excellent customer service. Laura is a very talented floral designer and Fell Flowers is a local business that also supports local growers. Her arrangements are elegant, lively, and more sustainable than other options. Just recently a good friend from California sent me a birthday bouquet from Fell. The arrangement landed on my porch and was just stunning. I cannot recommend...
