Discovered Sagoya in the neighborhood when I was rehabbing a knee injury, and it's been absolutely wonderful! Class sizes are small and mats are well spaced out, meaning you have plenty of room to starfish without bumping into anyone (a major pet peeve of mine at other NY yoga studios).
Level varies a bit by teacher; some of them are more energetic and really get your heart pumping, while others are a bit more slow paced and thoughtful about explaining positioning. The power flow classes are always a great workout. The room is 90+ degrees so no matter what you WILL be sweating by the end of it. I was able to bring a friend of mine who had never done yoga before and he found it challenging but accessible. Mats & blocks are provided though I'd recommend bringing your own yoga towel. In general, good vibes all around and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.
My only wish is that they had more 7am and 8am weekday classes available; most start at 9:30am and that's a bit late for my work day. Also, if 95 degree rooms aren't your cup of tea and/or you don't like sweating profusely, I would consider another studio (I used to do Bikram so honestly 95 feels great). Otherwise, I...

I have sent my request through the contact option on the website and I have come to the studio twice and rang the bell since I live nearby but never got an answer. What is the best way to reach you? Looking forward to your...
