So I may have found a new coffee shop, as I'm always on Cortelyou.
Connecticut Muffin is the perfect venue in the bustle of all the new Cortelyou additions. Even though they are a chain store I still feel like they are better quality than Dunkin or Starbucks.
I order an iced/hot coffee daily. The coffee is perfectly bold, strong and rather tasty. It is also priced very reasonable. I've ordered sandwiches a couple of times and I feel like their rolls/spreads/veggies are definitely better quality. The tuna sandwich is great and so is the egg sandwich. I haven't tasted their muffins so I can not write about those, but they look fresh.
I also like that this location has space and tables so if you want to grab a coffee and work on your laptop or read a book you can do it in peace over here.
I will say that although customer service is usually great, with employees being friendly and fast there is one that I try to avoid. I feel like a shot of espresso prior to their shift may change the attitude.
Overall, if you want high quality coffee for a good price in this neighborhood, this is the...
Read moreI been coming for years and had no issues up until Recently. They have these guys working there that obviously don’t want to be there and give off that vibe for sure! I asked for a latte and the worker was very aggressive with me slamming my cup of coffee while preparing it very aggressively and talking to himself about me in a very bad manner. The coffee came out not as good as before obvious he had no idea what he was going or maybe it was his first time. Anyways I also wanted to buy a muffin which they only had one left, with a dirty price tag on it, so I kindly asked if they have anymore left, and I got a very rude reply saying “ what is wrong with this muffin” first of all it could have been from last night, secondly it had a dirty price tag on it. Not to mention they handle food with the same hand they handle money. Anyways as a customer I did nothing wrong by asking if they had any more left. The photo I attach was suppose to be a latte, looks like cheap coffee to me. I will most definitely not going to go...
Read moreI was roaming around the Courtelyou Road Dutmas neighborhood in my way to the local Thai restaurant that wasn't open yet, when I discovered this spot. My cousin who I was on the phone with exclaimed when I told her I was going to get a coffee from Connecticut Muffin. She asked if I would get her a Cranberry Yogurt muffin which luckily was in stock. Everything looked good so I added an oatmeal raisin cookie and a slice of the chocolate chip banana bread since I now would be waiting for her to pick me up to head someplace else. The first bite of my oatmeal cookie was confidence building that I had made a good choice, but my first pillowy soft fluffy delicious bit of the chocolate chip banana bread made me understand why my cousin was so excited to get that muffin! Oh My goodness! I'm going to remember this place for sure! Come check them out and take something for the...
