Fifi International Spa — Local services in New York

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a "nail salon" if you would even call it that. First of all it is in the back of a hair salon, when you first walk in you aren't even sure you are in the right place because you aren't greeted by anybody. I had my pedicure first, what i put my feet in just looked like a sink on the floor, at first the water was really hot, then she fixed it and it was freezing cold, and by the time the water was all the way filled up i was the one who had to turn it off bec the "forgot." While she was doing my toes she had me put my feet on her legs. It was the shortest pedicure ever, only one coat of nail polish. Whole thing probably took 10 minutes. When i was done with the pedicure part i moved on to the manicure there was another girl that was going to get a pedicure right after me, don't think they even cleaned the "sink." Who knows what type of fungis or something else i may have gotten from the pedicure alone. I move to the manicure station and there was a towel there that had obviously been there awhile, there was hair and other colors of nail polish on it from someone else. It was very dirty, the lady just layed a paper towel over it. She didn't paint my whole nail just parts of all of them and by the time she was "done" she kicked me out of the chair to fix someone elses nails that someone else screwed up on. They had no drying stations so when I was getting my money ou i messed up my nails. I used a groupon with the original price of the mani/pedi being $65, (I paid $22 for the Groupon) While i was giving the lady the $2 for the tax of the Groupon she proceeded to tell me that I was supposed to tip according to the original price. I gave each lady $2 and they didn't even deserve that much. I also bought my bf a groupon to go get a mani/pedi but I would not wish my worst enemy to go there. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN AND NOT COME! The nail technician that works there is super rude and hurried me along. First she said I was taking too long to pick a nail color when I was in fact 15 minutes early for my appointment and took around 3 minutes to pick a shade that matched my dress!??? The entire place is disgusting and worn down and she basically barked at me to sit and pulled out some unsanitized equipment that I can confirm the previous girl was also worked on with. She proceeded to clip my cuticles and the skin around my fingers so short that my fingers really stung and literally burned, which has never happened to me. She then proceeded to haphazardly paint my nails outside my finger nails and say they looked great when in fact it was bumpy and super unprofessional. She cut so deep into my skin and painted polish on that made six of my fingers burn so much that I just couldn’t handle the pain so asked for her to stop. She then shooed me out and accused me of being difficult when I literally just wanted nice nails for an event I’m going to… and now my fingers still hurt and I had to pay someone else to take off the first layer of gell she terribly put on and even the new place commented on how bad she was. By far the worst experience I’ve had through Classpass EVER. I arrived early (5:30 PM) because I wanted to make sure the nail tech had time to take off my gel pedicure and manicure, but she told me she would not be able to take me in until 6:30 PM (my reservation was at 6PM). I accepted without complaining and went for a walk while I waited. I came back at 6:28 PM and she still made me wait another 15 mins as she had taken another customer knowing I would be back. When she finally got done speaking with other customers, she proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay an extra $10 for removing my gel manicure and another $10 for the pedicure and claimed she didn’t know even though I had informed her when I initially arrived. She also said that the ClassPass only covered gel manicure not gel pedicure even though that is not specified in the booking. I told her this was not clearly stated in the terms of her post in ClassPass and she said I would have to pay either way.

Additionally, she charges a “tax fee” of $3 after you receive her services as she claims that ClassPass doesn’t cover everything (I’ve never had to pay extra with other bookings made through ClassPass).
