Fifty Four NYC — Local services in New York

We rented out 54 for my husband’s 70th birthday party! The event was held over the weekend and I wanted to write a review of our experience! I had been looking for a venue that can accommodate roughly 55 people for cocktail hour, sit down dinner and dancing. A friend recommended that I reach out to 54 and Elvira! I am so glad I did, Elvira and her manager were with me in every step of the planning. They gave me so many options for décor, table set up, cocktail hour. We were presented with a lot of options for food and drink (including servers and bartenders). Once all choices were selected, I hired a photographer, saxophonist and DJ for my event. They all relayed to me how easy it was to deal with the venue and how everything they needed/requested was provided to accommodate! On the night of the event, I came early to take a peek at the set up and ensure everything was in order… let me say that was completely unnecessary! Elvira and her team were there and absolutely everything was exactly how we discussed. The staff looked crisp and chic in perfectly pressed uniforms, the bartender was extremely pleasant and made delicious cocktails! Coat check was available and there was even a gentleman outside to greet guests and let them in! As the night kicked off and our guests arrived, the servers were constantly walking around with hors d’oeuvres and everyone had a drink in hand. People commented on how beautiful the setting was and how the food was delicious! As cocktail hour came to an end, a big curtain was opened and guests were asked to proceed to dinner! As the curtain was opened we were met with a beautifully decorated room, elegant tables and just the right lighting. I noticed that each time I needed a server within seconds one was standing next to us (the service was really spectacular)! The staff was all smiles and did an outstanding job ensuring that glasses were filled and plates were taken when needed. We ended up having an amazing time, as did our guests and partied the night away! The next day I received a number of texts from different guests letting us know what a great time they had, how amazing the food was and a few even asked for details of the manager to book their next event in 54! We were extremely pleased with how everything turned out! No corners were cut, nothing was spared! We got exactly what we wanted plus more! We just had our son’s Bar Mitzvah at Fifty Four NYC and it was PERFECT. Here’s why the place was incredible: Fifty Four NYC Party Planners-They are genuinely the best. They know the venue so well and know how to personalize the space so that it’s the perfect fit for your party. They are honest, provide great advice and all around fun to work with. They will make your vision happen no matter the budget as they are not pushy and work with you on all details. I am so grateful for them – they work so hard and really made sure our party was perfect. Event Space-The place is awesome. Lay out of Fifty Four NYC is that whether you are “upstairs” at the main bar areas or “downstairs” at the dance floor, lower bar area you are either participating or watching. The flexible seating allows for sitting around the dance floor – whatever lay out you want. The TV screens serve as signs for your logo or picture montage, the walls are beautiful and require no other decorations. They do a fantastic job of wrapping different areas with your logo! They can provide a stage or many other things to keep kids entertained. It doesn’t feel crowded with ~160 people but everyone is close enough to socialize or dance. Food - Delicious for adults and kids. Everyone loved the pizza and pigs in a blanket (kids) and Salmon and other adult food was impressive. Staff – everyone from the “bouncer” outside (provided by Fifty Four NYC to ensure the kids were safe and didn’t leave), to the coat check, bartenders, staff, servers, etc – all kind and wonderful to our guests. AV team – made our montage and ensured our logos were perfectly displayed. A pleasure to work with. Drinks-Bartenders served guests quickly and were also a pleasure. Gabbie and the entire Fifty Four team were incredible partners from the moment we stepped into the venue to evaluate till the last second of our event.

For context, my wife and I celebrated our pre-wedding events at Fifty Four and we couldn’t have expected better service. Our event was unique, we celebrated two different cultures (Indian and German) at the venue. We had Sangeet ceremony as part of the Indian wedding tradition and Polterabend ceremony as part of the German wedding tradition.

Gabbie and the team went above and beyond to accommodate these two unique events and was very welcoming to all our 100 guests in attendance.

The food was all vegetarian, the chef accommodated our requests and we had rave reviews from our guests regarding the food. It was very delicious.

For the Indian tradition, we had choreographed dances, henna tattoos, and other activities. For the German tradition of Polterabend, our guests broke plates for the couple to clean it up. Gabbie went above and beyond to accommodate both the Indian and German traditions.

The venue was accommodating to also bring custom decors for us to set it up and were incredible partners.

The entire event was a massive success from the venue, to the AV tech, to the chef, to the staff, to bar crew, to the cleaning crew, and most importantly Gabbie.

I will recommend this place 100/100 and I hope to be back to celebrate another event at Fifty Four when the next opportunity arises.
