Despite our late arrival, just 30 minutes before closing, the staff welcomed us with open arms. They had only two chicken rolls left, but when we mentioned we needed more, they immediately sprang into action. They went above and beyond to prepare fresh chicken rolls for us, a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. This level of customer service is truly commendable and sets a high bar for other eateries.

Cold tea and not so tasty chana masala rolls and on top cashier messed up. She put vague item in my invoice (catering mint chutney) for 8 bucks and charged me for that. When I noticed and asked for refund, offered me multiple times to buy more stuff instead of refund. She then asked me to speak to manager but never made Me speak even though asked. She then told me it will be refunded and she has processed it. When I asked for a refund process receipt she called her manager and started to figure how to process refundIt took more than an hour, cashier’s call with manager but still could not figure refund. When asked how long would it take and I have been here for an hour, she told me you will have to wait. When I finally lost it and asked to take it legal, she told her manager on line that he says he dsnt care for refund. I had requested her to process refund while picking up my order at 8:12pm and was made to wait from 825pm to 9:09pm and with no refund processed. The quality and service has greatly improved over the last year. Reminds me of when I first had it over 20 years ago. I even noticed that at the 39th street location they read out loud your order before handing it over to you and make sure that you have everything, which I appreciated as they would often be short items that I ordered such as sauces or the chips in the past. I often order from the 53rd street location via doordash and the quality and accuracy of my orders has been much more on point compared to during Covid. I hope they keep up the quality and service because Kati Rolls is truly an NYC gem and has some of the best, MOST FLAVORFUL food items you can get in the city that should be recognized as a NY staple just like bagels, pizza and Chinese food. People who are criticizing the taste of Kati Rolls are completely unrealistic or out of their mind. I mean what exactly are you comparing it to that is a similar South Asian item that tastes better?
